Probably will not be long before the whole GROZ movement starts up with fans on the forum.
There was very good reason for it 20 years ago. Does anybody think Zimmer will be any better as a DC after being out of the league before Jerry called? Nobody else wanted him, because he's had a couple of decades to prove he was any good, and he hasn't done that. Only reason he has a job is Jerry can't be fired for incompetent hires like rehiring Zimmer.

Yeah, many were crying for him to be HC. Crazy crapp.
You are going to miss DQ real quick once the usual Zimmer defense takes the field. Not that DQ is all that, but he is clearly more accomplished than Zimmer as a DC and HC.

so you were sad to see Ginger go then
since he according to your logic was like every other coach in the NFL good at his job
By your definition of success, there are only about 5 coaches in the league that are worth a damn, no?

Check out those explosiveness numbers. Woof. That's sub-NFL for a DE, and we saw that all preseason.

Dude never had a prayer of succeeding on the edge. I get that DQ wanted to develop him as a tweener DT, but why are we drafting an undersized, slow, small-school tweener? What do you think the odds of that guy hitting are?

Fehoko was a super-productive gamer in college and earned a chance at the NFL, but he always had a late day 3, UDFA type profile in my book. Quinn just overdrafted him.

Yea, thats what coordinators do. Zimmer might be a lot of things we dont like, but he has his own foundation, a simple premise, "do your job, do it correctly" and he prefers his LBs to do more. We may not have the same amount of interceptions, who knows, but he ll get more out of our LBs, where some good talent lies. So anyone who knows Zimmer knew this was going to happen.
Less running back gouging and more line toughness coming our way. The back end hopefully holds up and we still get plenty of ints.

Dallas also moved on from a pair of 2023 draft picks, including fourth-round pick Viliami Fehoko, who was a brutal fit in Mike Zimmer's system. Fehoko will go down as a big stain on the Cowboys' drafting resume but they also bit the bullet on a player that Dan Quinn believed was worth trading up for.

Missing out on a fourth round draft pick isn’t going to leave a big stain. Missing out on Mazi will leave a big stain. He better vastly improve this season or else.
