This doesn't lend credibility to the idea that the Cowboys are serious about OBJ. Serious teams don't miss a player's workouts for no reason.

They don’t need to attend the workout. I’m sure Jerry already told him how much he loves him and that should seal the deal.

Not as much light shining on that acquisition as there was during the season and Booger is all about the spotlight.
^ This.

Dallas may still acquire Beckham eventually but anyone should always consider what Jones will or will not do based on what he says. He has a 34-year record that can be referenced easily.

Folks don’t want to hear it but OBJ makes more sense in terms of what this receiving corp needs more than Hopkins. Not to mention we’d just be signing him as a free agent instead of trading for Hopkins, losing draft capital and having to pay his salary.

Our FO may suspect that they won't be able to outbid all the other teams for OBJ. Hence, due diligence with other teams, as well.
Or Jerry may have felt slighted by something that happened in December's 'negotiation'....he's getting pissy in his old age - La'el, Coop etc.

I wonder how many teams went to the trouble of asking Odell's mother what his thoughts were in terms of his preferences for signing a contract?! For the Cowboys not to attend his workout, one might well suspect that his mother spilled the beans and said it would likely be another team that had the upper hand in signing him. Hearing that might well cause them to have 2nd thoughts about pursuing him any longer. Hence, no C'boys at his workout.

That's quite possible and with that being the case, it'd behoove the team to seek their WR addition via the draft, rather than vet Free Agency. They didn't attend his workout. That situation reeks of giving up on OBJ and turning their attention elsewhere. Something's up that we don't know about.

I just need him 2 catch the routine stuff and remain healthy all year. If he can just do that Im in. I am skeptical.

it wont be Robert Woods as has been speculated. He just signed with the Texans. Dont rule out Adam Thielan or TY again. But I agree with the ^ statement.
About three levels above what we’re going to get lol. Think more like Phillip Dorsett, River Cracraft etc

The best case for me is

Lamb, FA, Gallup

Turpin, Simi, Tolbert as depth

This league is crazy...just when we wanna toss Tolbert and Simi overboard, watch them have a breakout year. Thats the beauty of the NFL. players develop on their own timeline. While its likely each guy might never get better, anything is possible in this league. It took Dalton Shultz 3 years...he was a slow developer. We were ready 2 dump him as a bust before he emerged.
