That's why I so wished that the Giants would have been able to close the deal on the Eagles yesterday. That would have been huge for the Cowboys winning the division. I think the Eagles will beat Washington twice now, and if the had lost yesterday, they might very well have been done. After that win, they're still a threat.
I'll say yes and no. Egirls BARELY pulled that win out, against a sorry vagiants team. What I see is egirls split the skins series, 1-1 we beat them twice and walk away with the division title. And for all you who think we can't beat the Saints, posted it yesterday and will here again, we beat the Saints come Thursday... TO's will be the deciding factor

A 10-6 record? That would mean 7-1 in the last half of the season. Is this a 7-1 team or a 3-5 team? I would say in between, 8-8. I predicted 9-7 or 10-6 on the season. Silly me

If Dallas isn't really competitive in this game, what's the point of winning the division? That'll just reinforce Jerry further.

If we can't beat the Saints, then we have no business being in the playoffs anyway.

We may not need to win but the momentum this game provides going forward is huge and it could change the season.
To me the final score is almost as important as the win if it's 3 or 7 points difference that's a big deal.

Every game is a must win.

Nah, too early for that, mainly because of the problems the skins and eagles and giants have, I don't see any of the East teams going 4-0 after this game, even 3-1 is unlikely, imo. We will lose the Saints game, if every game is a must win that loss would knock us out of the playoffs, and that's far from a certainty.

But I'm not looking ahead, after seeing this team blow advantages as in 2016, 2014, 2009, and 2007 to expect them to seriously contend for a SB, or even multiple playoff wins, is way beyond what I think they can do. Too many holes at key positions, too poor coaching.

I watch the games focusing on that game alone, without considering playoff possibilities, tie breakers or what ever the future might hold.

This is what Jerry has done to me...

That's honestly why I'm not getting too worked up about this game. I'm not expecting a win against the hottest team in football. Will I take one? Gladly. But my expectations of this current team aren't that high right now. I see the Cowboys slowly improving and building something, something that shouldn't be undone by a loss to the Saints.

We're getting better but I don't put us quite on their level yet.
I love your avatar hopefully this Thursday we have a peach of a hand

If it's not a must win then don't play it.

And what if the Saints get beat by some wild card team that gets hot at the right time? What if Brees gets hurt? Right now the Saints are probably the best team in the league, if they go out early, we could end up playing somebody like Minnesota or the Bears, who are good but haven't been exactly the 1992-93 Cowboys, eminently beatable.

How many folks expected the 2007 Giants to win the SB? Not many.

But like I said, I watch each game in a vacuum, after it's over I'll watch the next one, etc. Whatever happens, happens....

My definition of a must win is if you lose, then the rest of the games don't matter, you've blown the season.

That's not true here, as I said, Cowboys would still be tied with the Eagles if the Eagles also lose, and get to play them again, in Dallas, as well as the Giants in Dallas. Lots of ways the Cowboys can win the division, even with the loss to the Saints.

Guess you have a different definition of a must game, and that's fine...

Dallas is fine if they lose. 9-7 is taking this division.

8-8 may take it too and that's what I see Philly finishing.

Upsets aren't uncommon, even in the NFL. Remember the Cowboys with Romo beating the 10-0 Colts?

Not saying it will happen, I'm on record as saying it won't, but again I wouldn't be all that surprised if the Cowboys won...

The Eagles still have to play Washington twice, Dallas, Houston and LA. That’s at least three losses putting them at 7-9.

The Commanders still have the Eagles twice and the Titans on the road, hopefully two losses there.

If we go 3-2 the rest of the way, we SHOULD win the division at 9-7 as long as we beat the Giants (giving us a 4-2 division record).

To win the division.

The Egirls next week will go further in determining the division.

And if we sweep then we’ll only need a couple more wins regardless what they do.

Beat the Eagles and 9-7 will be enough.

Which is exactly why we should rest some players, and avoid any plays by players that could result in an injury.

The goal is to get to the playoffs. All over goals are crap goals.

No you're not going to lay down for a game like this with 5 games left in the season. This is a big game that's going to define the year. It's a must win because this is the type of game that has been a house of horrors for the Cowboys lately. We need this because a win puts us a game up on the division going into December.

You keep looking at it from a W/L perspective, if they don't beat the Saints then it just further proves that they can't beat good teams. All their wins so far have come against bad/injured teams.

It’s quite possible the skins beat the Beagles next week too.

I just hope they get out of the game w/o as few injuries as possible. None would be the ideal
