That's because 1/2 of his tape is him playing a 2 and sometimes 3 gap assignment. He didn't rush from the edge nearly enough for mizzu, but he definitely showed flashes of being able to beat the OT, bend the corner, and get to the QB. Forget the 40, look at his 3 cone time. He's long, has enough bulk, and has elite short area quickness. Too many people are selling him short in my opinion.

3 gap assignments? Seriously?

Safety position has been an enigma more than any other position on this team the last decade. It's like they completely forgot how great it felt to have a Darren Woodson back there. The safety position literally cost us multiple games last year. I truly believe if we even had Will Allen back there we'd have won at least one more game. Idk why they are so loyal to Jeff Heath, Matt Johnson and JJ Wilcox. Church I can sort of understand but the other three have shown nothing so far. The Heath propaganda started in the preseason from our lovely play-by-play announcer and continued throughout the season. I love ya Brad Sham, but I don't care how much of a hard worker he is if the man can't tackle nor cover. JJ Wilcox was a disappointment as well. It seemed like after his mother passed in preseason he sort of checked out for the season and never recovered from the time lost. Regardless, I do not know how realistic a Church/Wilcox tandem could be in the future. Matt Johnson will once again get praise all throughout training camp from the observers and then promptly get hurt on the first instance of contact in the preseason game. We need to fix this position once and for all. If it means using 16 on it, fine. This is a 10yr+ annoying problem for the Cowboys....not even bothering to look at Pryor or HaHa is infuriating.

If they are looking for a TE then the Escobar pick is a waste. I did not like that pick last year anyway.

Hey, a better blocking tight end is a real need for this team since Escobar is really considered a WR. Honest.

We like where we are at safety.

Faster and bigger than DeMarcus Ware, Ealy has the size 6.4 HT, 273 lbs. and speed - 4.57 40 yard dash to play 4/3 DE at a high level, his stock will continue to rise.

I thought Ealy ran a 4.9 something at the combine?

Will Allen couldn't tackle either.

I don't like Will Allen but Heath was so bad I started missing the guy. He tackles and covers better than Heath and would have helped us win that Lions game where both Heath and Hamilton were abysmal.

I totally agree with you. The guys the Cowboys trotted out there at safety last year borders on criminal. They were so bad, people view Will Allen as an upgrade, haha.

Man oh man, this is chalk full of goodies, if true. Any way we can confirm at least the identity of the author?

Anyway, he's reporting green lights on Barr and Donald at 16. Beautiful.

Not so much for Martin, which I'm ok with. I've given this a lot of thought. Everyone loves position flex, and I totally get it. But realistically you're not picking him that high of he isn't our RT after Free departs. So unless he grades as a high quality starting RT, I'm not thrilled. But alas, if he graded as an upper tier RT there wouldn't be so much talk of a move to OG. I think we can do better, although he is a good player.

Ford...interesting. I need to watch him more. If he's going to be selected at 16 he better a) be viewed as a potential full-time DE or b) be viewed as a lethal edge rusher who changes the game on 3rd downs. I can probably be convinced on either, but I'm not there yet.

16 and our fourth for 26 and 35 would be insanely good. I can't imagine it happening though, because that's a crazy amount of value in our favor.

That is all fine and dandy. I am sure that other top ten players get "green lights" at 16 as well. That does not mean they will even be there. But I guess it is fun to say that well, if they were, we approve.

I'd make it our 3 instead of 4 to get it done. Only way Cleveland makes that move is for a QB (Carr?). Thing is the teams after us (Balt, NYJ, Miami) don't need a QB, so not sure Cleveland targets us as the landing spot.
