That's because 1/2 of his tape is him playing a 2 and sometimes 3 gap assignment. He didn't rush from the edge nearly enough for mizzu, but he definitely showed flashes of being able to beat the OT, bend the corner, and get to the QB. Forget the 40, look at his 3 cone time. He's long, has enough bulk, and has elite short area quickness. Too many people are selling him short in my opinion.

And we all know that the 3 cone drill is a big measuring stick used by this coaching staff.

16 and our fourth for 26 and 35 would be insanely good. I can't imagine it happening though, because that's a crazy amount of value in our favor.

It's probably contingent on one of the top three QB's dropping to 16.

Ealy had great production in 2013 and has the prototype size and athleticism. But his motor is questioned, he was part of healthy rotation at Mizzou (so always fresh) and was a one year producer.

Sort of a projection, and will be interesting to see how teams evaluate him. Honestly he has the look of a guy who could go off the board quite a bit earlier than expected.

It was late, I was laying in bed typing on my phone.....things happen. What I was trying to say is that he played a 2 gap DE and sometimes even inside at 3 tech for Mizzu. He wasn't used as primarily an edge pass rusher that often, which is what he would be in Rod's D.

Umm, no. If an NFL exec was going to "smokescreen" they would not use a blog site to accomplish that.

That whole notion of "smokescreen" is one of the more overused and fallacious assumptions you see at this time of year.

There is a lot of misinformation floated out there, but this does not really qualify.
