Cowboys & Eagles Remaining Schedule

Let's face it, Eagles and Dallas fans are screwed, this is Giants division to lose. Eagles/Dallas are going to find a way to lose out and Giants will win the division at 9-7. Ohh man, that would be horrible if it actually played out like that.

In all seriousness, Dallas is the front runner in this division, and if we get past CHI with a win then we're looking at a realistic chance of 10-6/11-5. Though, it shouldn't have came down to this, our division should've already been wrapped up if we knew how to close out games against solid teams.

While you guys are doing all this fretting, it is also possible that we could lose to Philly, and have the same record and still win the division with tiebreakers. Some of you guys amaze me with all of this worrying.

Dallas and Philly enter week 17 with records of 9-6 and 10-5 respectively. Dallas wins and thus wins the divison at 10-6.

Would 10-6 even get us in as a WC? We'd have a 9-3 rec vs NFC

Don't count on a wildcard. We'd have to get past San Fran and Carolina. We could possibly do that if we won out, but it wouldn't matter at that point because we'll have won the division.

My money is on the Eagles losing to the Vikings and Lions. The Vikings, in hindsight, have been a tough out for most recent teams over last month. They took 2 division rivals to OT in back to back weeks. They are no cakewalk.

I don't get all the worry over the Eagles. I watched the game yesterday, and if Arizona had a QB with pocket awareness, they would have won insteaad.

I think IF the Cowboys win the next 2 and the Eagles lose the next 2 the East is set and the last 2 games do not matter (at least for the division). That would be my preferred scenario.

Yes but that doesn't mean they'll beat the eagles.

No. But anyone with half a brain could argue that playing well probably gives them a better chance of beating the Eagles than playing bad would.

Who knows how it plays out but I personally would like to beat the eagles wk 17 for the east title.

I feel just a bit more confident than I did last year. I think we're a better team than last year, and the Eagles are worse than the Skins of last year, but it worries me how similar it all seems. I'm really tired of all this last season division matchup finger nail biting crap. Here's to hoping we have SOMETHING clinched going into Week 17 :)

Last game aside, both teams can go 2-1 over the next 3 games.

It's so very possible that we'll once again be in a Week17 win and in game.

Does it matter? We are 4-0 in the division. Eagles are 3-2. We beat them once already. Don't we basically need to beat them the last game?

If we beat Commanders and go in one game ahead of Eagles, we win regardless. However, we likely end up going into the last game tied or one game behind and a win would put us in. Granted, I will have an ulcer all day long.

I think folks are a little worried right now because it looks like another week 17 elimination game coming.......................we have all seen that move and the sequel..............nobody liked the ending of either one............LOL

Not if they have a better record and we can't tie.

If Philly get a 2 game lead it's over.

But we have a shutdown corner and the best WR in the league and the best QB in the league and a great head coach. Unstoppable.

That is what it looked like before the season began. Nothing I've seen since leads me to believe that still isn't true.

I don't see them getting a 2 game lead on us in the next 3 days. They'd have to go 3-0 and us 1-2. Or them 2-1 and us 0-3. I don't see either of those things happening. Even if we're a game behind them, a win in Week 17 would give us the division. This has been the case the past two years. We're 0 for 2.

What happens if either the Saints or the Panthers sweep the other? How do we look relative to the remaining tiebreakers, hypothetically, if we finish tied with either of them?
