I think folks are a little worried right now because it looks like another week 17 elimination game coming.......................we have all seen that move and the sequel..............nobody liked the ending of either one............LOL

I prefer to consider it a possible repeat of 2009. That said, there are six whole games between the two teams between now and then. There's way too much football to be played to concern ourselves with any similarities two the last two seasons where we played two other completely different squads with an appreciably different roster.

What are the odds of being eliminated in week 17 in three consecutive seasons by three different division rivals?

If that happens I may start to believe the posters that think we have a vodoo curse on us..............LOL

I'm not scared of the Eagles. You all watched that game in Philly, right?

"Oh but they're a different team now!" no they aren't

I would, too.

Actually, I was just telling a friend today--and this is intentionally wild speculation and not something I actually believe--but that the fact that ESPN has recently flipped the script on the Romo-bashing, and, hypothetically, if we were to play in our third consecutive week 17 win-or-go-home game against a third NFCE opponent--it sets up nicely for a scripted monkey-off-your-back story if you're the type to believe in such things.

It would be nice for Romo to start getting some respect.

Time to call it a night........................later bro.

I havent given great thought to the remaining games for both teams. But I will say this. I definetly think the Lions beat the Eagles this week and.....and I think the Bears beat Dallas.

I like our schedule simply because we play struggling Chicago and Green Bay who may or may not have Rodgers. We should beat Green Bay w/o Rodgers. And we have the Eagles at home. Commanders is a rivalry game and a crap shoot game no matter the record. Lions are by far the hardest team for either to face. My guess is both teams go 2-1 the next 3 games winner of the last game goes to the Playoffs.

The thought of us having to play yet another Week 17 game, flexed into prime time for all the world to see, is nauseating. The odds that we have to do it three years in a row, they must be astronomical. I mean, I would be stunned if there were more than 5 of these type games in the history of the NFL, and we are on track to have played in 3 of them... in a row! Ridiculous.

Not just 3 years in a row, 3 years in a row each against a different divisional opponent

I think that is our best case scenario.

I know it's dumb to give anyone a W or L before the games are played but I think Philly could wrap up this division in the next 3 weeks.

For Philly to wrap up the division before we play them, we would have to go 0-3 in our next three games and I definitely don't see that happening.

If we had a 1-2 record and the Eagles went 3-0, they would clinch before playing us.

If we get hot and win out were in if not and we still get in some how I'm not sure we would do much anyway. If we can turn up the intensity like in the second half of the Raiders game anything is possible.

When they announce the Sunday Night Football schedule for 2014, instead of having TBA for Week 17 they should just put Dallas vs. NFC East team.

Glancing at week 17, you can pretty much start marking it on your calendar. Only games that possibly could matter for both teams that week are 49ers/Cards, Bengals/Ravens and Bears/Pack. And I doubt the NFL would pass on the ratings bonanza that is the Cowboys for one of those matchups.

I was hoping the Cards would beat Philly and came away disappointed. The Lions are better but they are a dome team going to the east coast and who knows what the weather will be like. The Eagles are playing well, no doubt about it.

It may very well come down to week 17 yet again. {sigh}

On top of that, Stafford reminds me of Palmer, I think he'll fold against the Eagles. I hope I'm wrong.

If the eagles beat the lions and we lose to the bears its game over for us. These are the most telling games for each team.

I wouldn't go that far with the Cowboys being undefeated within the division and having a win over Philly in their pocket it could still come down to week 17. The most telling games for the Cowboys have been the final 2 games of the season in which they've lost the last 2 years. A 3-1 December will win the division for the Cowboys unless Philly wins out.

Every game is vital for both teams, I think this will ultimately come down to the last game of the season.

As hot as Philly's been, I think they come back down to Earth and lose to the Lions. I can see them going 2-1 before our game, but I can also see us going 2-1.

In a way I'm happy Washington lost last night. Since they are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, I'm hoping they will have mailed it in by the time they face us.

Washington never mails it in against Dallas.

It would just be unthinkable that first it would be the Giants who knocked us out, then the Commanders, and now the Eagles. I can just see the headlines now....

Washington would love nothing better than to help keep the Cowboys home for the playoffs again. Although the Commanders are done they can play spoiler and the Cowboys better be prepared when they head to Washington in 3 weeks. The Cowboys can't afford to lose that game.
