How long should you give him? Should he be good now? Even Jalen Carter is flawed and he's probably having one of the best rookie campaigns i've seen from a DT in a long time.
Carter hasn't impressed me at all. I see no impact plays from him when I watch them play lol

Dallas knows how teams will try and prevent our deepest run in the playoffs—attack our run defense .

The 266 yards rushing for Buffalo were the most since 2020, the year before Quinn arrived and fixed one of the worst defensive units in franchise history.

For all of the progress the Cowboys have made under Quinn with turnovers and sacks , stopping the run has been a problem.

With the playoffs approaching the issue that has been among the most glaring in Quinn’s 3 seasons was once again a big problem in Buffalo.
They identified the lack of physicality as a problem years ago but they haven't done much about it. Very frustrating, there's no sense of urgency, they're happy plodding along making incremental changes, saving their pennies so they can overpay their superstars.

Exposed? Dallas has been unable to stop the run for the last seven years. Why is this a revelation to so many Dallas fans?

Yep seems like Quinn and Jerry subscribe to Meatloaf's philosophy two out of three ain't bad.

Unfortunately for this train of thought when you get to the playoffs it is bad because everybody you play is good

I mean he literally just scored the only touchdown for them last week lol. I'm impressed by him. Not as some top 10 DT yet. He's not there. But he flashes. He's flashing like you'd want to see Mazi do but the thing is Jalen Carter was the best player in the draft and Mazi was a fringe late 1st/2nd round guy. There development is going to come different.

Every team has been exposed by now. Dallas needs to get a lead, they frontrunners, so hope they can play from ahead the rest of the season.

Do you hear what you just said???? Let's break this down

Should he be good now?- Why can't he, is it asking too much? I've always said (coogiguy03) that he doesn't have to be great, to some I guess that's asking too much. All I was saying is that can he make an "impression" that's not asking much at all, don't need him to be aaron donald right away, if he was, that's a plus!

Jalen Carter comments-Ok he's flawed and is having a great rookie campaign from a rookie DT, so he can do it, but Mazi can't? One was raw, and one had some issues off the field that made him drop, I get that. Once again it goes back to the making an impression. For all the stuff that we saw from Mazi, it got our hopes up, seeing his workouts, and knowing that he was seemingly a better person off the field than carter. He can get better, it's not like the season just started, we've been working with him since OTA's. There has to be a want to get better, do I doubt he wants to be like this all season HELL NO!!! I think he'll be fine, but right now, a lot of us aren't sure
Jalen Carter and MAzi are nowhere near the same caliber of player or prospect. Carer was expected to come in and contribute and start. MAzi was much rawer. One was supposed to be a 2nd rounder one was projected to be a top 2 pick. This is the NFL. This isn't college.

I am more concerned about the dumb penalties at the absolute worst times. Had Dallas not committed those penalties on 3rd and 4th downs, that Buffalo game could have been closer. Any defense it going to wear down, especially our undersized defense. And the offense cannot continually go three and out.

The blueprint has been out but 10 other teams couldn’t do it this year. Match ups make fights. They are who they are at this point. They just need to execute and get off the field on third downs and the offense has to score and can’t shell up. With the exception of the 49ers, every team has some major flaws, weaknesses that can be expoed… my opinion.

Yea , 5th seed definitely isn’t that bad a path. Except no home games .

But it’s very possible one of the 6th or 7th seeds could upset Det or Phi. Which means we wouldn’t have to face SF until Champ game.
Being the 2 and playing the vikes seem like the most friendly path....

This is 110% on Dan Quinn. He forces the Cowboys to draft tall, defensive backs in the late rounds, trying to re-create the Legion of boom, and none of them have panned out. They all suck.
If we flop again this year, Dan Quinn can pack his backward hats.
Give it to Al Harris

They both play the same position right, they both can make an impression right?? Once again that's all I'm saying, I don't care if you're drafted in the 7th round, if you made the team you're on there for a reason

The Eagles are exposed. They aren't winning with their secondary.

Here is the only thing about this, this is not news, who here thought this team was built to overcome 21 point defecits? What team is? What we can not do is shoot ourselves in the head all 1st quarter (like any team in the league) and expect to just magically come back from it..when your down that big that fast the game is so heavily wieghed towards the other team its ridiculous..one team has a 1 page playbook on offense the other can basically run anything they want, one team can afford to run the ball 49 times while still having PA available to hold your safties, the other team is goona have to pass into a dime defense the rest of the game....if your saying getting down 3 touchdowns early is getting exposed, i will ask what team is built to overcome this?

We do this to other teams so we should know what it looks like, we had stops, we undid those stops...we had drives we undid those drives...if your talking about being mentally exposed in that one game then yeah they were..
