Hell, what if we somehow reach 7-7 and then beat Tampa to be 8-7? Eagles week will be insane in here. And if the Eagles force-feed us our teeth, it's going to be a rash of "I told you so" threads. The easier part of the schedule is definitely here however beating the skins wasn't an easy game on paper.
Giants, Bengals and Panthers should supply us with the fools gold we love here.,lol.
They would rather lose and say I told you so than to win and possibly make the playoffs.Hell, what if we somehow reach 7-7 and then beat Tampa to be 8-7? Eagles week will be insane in here. And if the Eagles force-feed us our teeth, it's going to be a rash of "I told you so" threads.
I think it was coincidence that we made the Herschel Walker trade.I see various debates over winning vs optimizing draft position. Here’s a little nugget for the win and worry about draft position later crowd.
Do you think it’s merely coincidence that our three time SB winning QB was drafted #1 overall and we drafted at the very top of the draft for multiple years in a row? 92, 93 and 95 SBs were a direct result of drafting at the top of the draft.
Almost 30 years later Jerry insists on drafting in the middle since then to “remain relevant” and we have zilch to show for it. Do you think that is merely coincidence too?
It will be fun to watch.
What this team will do. Is somehow beat Cincy. Then lose to Carolina. Not gonna lie, if we beat the Bengals I'll be looking forward to the Panthers game for sure, and if we win again I'll probably be a little too excited for Tampa.
If nothing else it'll be some fun in a season I wasn't enjoying. I mean as it is now I'm already way more interested to see the Bengals game than I expected to be. I have to thank WINNING for that.
"Remain relevant" makes Jerry a revenue first zealot.I see various debates over winning vs optimizing draft position. Here’s a little nugget for the win and worry about draft position later crowd.

I'd like to be optimistic, but we beat a team that was already trending downward, and a team that's probably going to have the first pick in the draft...and we barely eked out those wins. And now we are winning.
And who would they beat in the playoffs?... Themselves, as usual, and then right back to the 25th or 26th draft pick. If it was just the first round that worked that way, maybe they could do alright in later rounds, but no, they'll get the leftovers in every round. They would rather lose and say I told you so than to win and possibly make the playoffs.
I agree, I don't want the guys to play anything but their best football...but I want the other teams to play better.Ok, say we were to lose the rest of our games and finish with a top 7 pick, which QB are we taking?
Milroe looks like a hot mess every other week
Ward has a funky throwing motion
Shedeur comes with Deion
Ewers is average and gun shy when he gets hit
Beck throws a bunch of interceptions
If the team sucks, so be it, but intentional tanking never works. It's an insult to the football gods and I want no part of it. Call it superstition if you want, but the last two highly touted tank worthy QBs were Lawrence and Luck. Lawrence has been average and Luck had his career cut short. The jury is still out with Williams, but the Bears haven't been any better with him behind center. Worry about building a winning culture and find a guy that fits your system. That means winning a many games as possible every year with the goal being a championship. Sucking until the next big thing falls into your lap is a losing mentality, and that carries over when your guy shows up. I'm out on all that, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Because one never knows what will happen in the playoffs. Which is anything and everything. And who would they be at in the playoffs?... Themselves, as usual, and then right back to the 25th or 26th draft pick. I get where you're coming from. Can't get on board with that line of thinking, but I'm not mad at anyone for thinking it either.I agree, I don't want the guys to play anything but their best football...but I want the other teams to play better.
outliers dude. The VAST majority of SB winning QBs were drafted in the first rdBrady 6th round, Montana 3rd round; success can be found outside the 1st round.
That is a pathetic joke. SHOW a team that was 3-7 winning it all EVER.Because one never knows what will happen in the playoffs. Which is anything and everything.
If a fan wants to constantly whine about it, it is on them.
You're rewarded for being the very best, and rewarded for being the very worst. As long as that continues, it will be about both.Football is about winning games and trying to make the playoffs, not losing to improve your draft position.
