The easier part of the schedule is definitely here however beating the skins wasn't an easy game on paper.

Giants, Bengals and Panthers should supply us with the fools gold we love here.,lol.
Hell, what if we somehow reach 7-7 and then beat Tampa to be 8-7? Eagles week will be insane in here. And if the Eagles force-feed us our teeth, it's going to be a rash of "I told you so" threads.

Here's my reality check.
Bengals at Cowboys Monday night.
What more does a fan need than when the next game is played.
Forget about what others are doing, as a matter of fact that's my cause, my cleats. "My fandom-My way"

They would rather lose and say I told you so than to win and possibly make the playoffs.

The only way draft position would have made a difference is if they finished with a top 2-3 pick and someone was willing to pay a ransom to go up for a QB like Sanders. That’s over.

There’s not much difference in drafting 8-12, which is where they will end up.

Management has no idea what to do to get over the top, and they aren’t bad enough to be able to get any better. The gratuitous wins over Wash and NY will always be there and make thing seem better than they are. Took me a long while to understand that, but it’s true.

The kick in the behind is that NY somehow managed to win two SB in recent history and blew up our best season since 95. Philly has hoisted a trophy also. Washington has at least gotten rid of the cancer hands on owner and is pointed in a better direction. Meanwhile Jerry is still trying to do it “his way.”

We should beat the Bengals, if we're any good. At home after Thanksgiving and even with an extra day. Carolina at home. And if we win those 2, then we're 7-7 with a home game vs Tampa. At 7-7 in December you should be playing for the playoffs.

I see various debates over winning vs optimizing draft position. Here’s a little nugget for the win and worry about draft position later crowd.

Do you think it’s merely coincidence that our three time SB winning QB was drafted #1 overall and we drafted at the very top of the draft for multiple years in a row? 92, 93 and 95 SBs were a direct result of drafting at the top of the draft.

Almost 30 years later Jerry insists on drafting in the middle since then to “remain relevant” and we have zilch to show for it. Do you think that is merely coincidence too?
I think it was coincidence that we made the Herschel Walker trade.

Aikman was drafted #1 overall. Obviously those teams were stacked but the 92, 93 and 95 SBs would have never happened with Dak at the helm of those same teams. Let that marinate a bit and get back with me. lol.

It will be fun to watch.

Not gonna lie, if we beat the Bengals I'll be looking forward to the Panthers game for sure, and if we win again I'll probably be a little too excited for Tampa.

If nothing else it'll be some fun in a season I wasn't enjoying. I mean as it is now I'm already way more interested to see the Bengals game than I expected to be. I have to thank WINNING for that.

What this team will do. Is somehow beat Cincy. Then lose to Carolina.

"Remain relevant" makes Jerry a revenue first zealot.

Ok, say we were to lose the rest of our games and finish with a top 7 pick, which QB are we taking?

Milroe looks like a hot mess every other week
Ward has a funky throwing motion
Shedeur comes with Deion
Ewers is average and gun shy when he gets hit
Beck throws a bunch of interceptions

If the team sucks, so be it, but intentional tanking never works. It's an insult to the football gods and I want no part of it. Call it superstition if you want, but the last two highly touted tank worthy QBs were Lawrence and Luck. Lawrence has been average and Luck had his career cut short. The jury is still out with Williams, but the Bears haven't been any better with him behind center. Worry about building a winning culture and find a guy that fits your system. That means winning a many games as possible every year with the goal being a championship. Sucking until the next big thing falls into your lap is a losing mentality, and that carries over when your guy shows up. I'm out on all that, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

And who would they beat in the playoffs?... Themselves, as usual, and then right back to the 25th or 26th draft pick. If it was just the first round that worked that way, maybe they could do alright in later rounds, but no, they'll get the leftovers in every round.

I agree, I don't want the guys to play anything but their best football...but I want the other teams to play better.

Because one never knows what will happen in the playoffs. Which is anything and everything.

If a fan wants to constantly whine about it, it is on them.

That is a pathetic joke. SHOW a team that was 3-7 winning it all EVER.

Football is about winning games and trying to make the playoffs, not losing to improve your draft position.
You're rewarded for being the very best, and rewarded for being the very worst. As long as that continues, it will be about both.
