Still…so much changeover is not good for developing defensive talent but the good thing is…there isn’t much talent to develop on that side of the ball.

It would have been more surprising if they had kept him on. Schotty needs to bring in someone he knows. This business of Jerry hiring coordinators independent of the head coach has never worked.

What about a middle LB to fill the gaps with only 3 down linemen? Overshown isn't really the hardnosedin the middle guy, he's more of a use his speedto chase down runners player. And who knows if he could even stay healthy.

This is particularly true when the organization has no defensive philosophy. So, every new coordinator brings a new defense that requires different personnel. That makes roster building impossible. Jimmy and BP had defensive philosophies and they brought in players and coaches who could run it.

It happens all the time. I've seen last place teams shoot to the top in one season. Jerry just has to want to instead of his regular bs.

Small minded people on here like to think like that, and it doesn't even have to be FIXED like us being #1, but going from the worst to 15 that's called improvement, and you build on that going into the next season
