Cowboys Firefox theme

Hi, Firefox is and always will be garbage (in a Windows environment it's been losing since IE7). IE8 RC1 blows it away in every aspect including resource useage and security. Pretty much anyone using FF in Windows is deluding themselves.

What's all this talk about computer usage with FF? I have a intel corei7 Extreme Edition 975 and 8GB of memory. I clearly see a slow down using IE vs FF in which I only used to experience with lesser machines. Taking it a step further every CPU usage test I preform show IE8 is much more of a resource hog then FF

I can't stand FireFox...for reasons I'm not totally sure of.
Is there a skin for IE somewhere?

I just prefer ff. Too me it handles tabs much better. Once I found the IE add on for ff I had no use for IE except for updates.

Yep. The "view this page in IE" tab was the deal sealer for me long ago.

I saw this clear as day with IE7 long ago. IE8 didn't improve anything. FF is still king.

I started out with Netscape years ago and then migrated to Firefox. I have never used IE unless I had to.

I was trolling, sort of. Firefox really isn't that much more resource friendly than IE, if at all. If you use Windows, IE is so embedded throughout the operating system, whether you use it as a web browser or not, you are always at risk to the security flaws. You can't escape from it.

If you're running a powerhouse computer with 8 gigs of memory and you can see a performance hit while web browsing, you've got what's known as an 'operator error'. I don't care what browser you're using.

Firefox as a web browser truly only stands out in the Linux world. There... it is king... even in the world of stuck up mac users.

I have never used FireFox before, I use IE7 exclusively.

What does FireFox do differently from IE7???

Is it worth downloading and trying it???

It owns. IE7 doesn't. That's the difference.

The best thing it does is block pop up ads. I rarely if ever see a pop up using FF but if I'm using IE it's pop up city.

The best thing about Firefox is that it isn't made by Microsoft! Therefore, it doesn't have all of the "hooks" back to MS that IE does.
