Didn't you hear the owner? This team goes as Zeke goes.Hell no!!
they blew it. 3.5 years wasted of pollard.
but you can’t bust the script. Never pay backs big money.

Zeke is coming up on the end of the trail.Didn't you hear the owner? This team goes as Zeke goes.
I'm just talking about comparison to the demarco situation. I don't pretend to know what the front office is going to do. But Jerry falls in love with splashy plays, and pollard provides them.
It will come down to what is the best thing that they can do to keep him. Just like it did with Schultz.Pollard has been making splash he plays for years. It’s going to come down to money and money has been a sticking point with Jerry, especially planning ahead for Parsons, Diggs, and CeeDee.
No team goes full-time with any back. That is impossible.
It will come down to what is the best thing that they can do to keep him. Just like it did with Schultz.
There is 0 chance that Pollard is not with this team next year. They will absolutely franchise him. He is this team’s best offensive player and it ain’t close. Zeke will either take a pay cut or he’ll be gone.It will come down to what is the best thing that they can do to keep him. Just like it did with Schultz.
Pollard is great but everyone is so blown away because of watching the slow zeke for 7 years.Pollard is an awesome player but so is 2022 4th rounder Damien Pierce and there's a couple of these guys in every draft

You can pretty much bank on them taking advantage of the franchise tag to keep Pollard.

Name one back that caught 2 td passes for over 90 yards in one game.Pollard is an awesome player but so is 2022 4th rounder Damien Pierce and there's a couple of these guys in every draft
Here are the current top 10 RBs statistically in the NFL and round they were drafted:
Only 3 of the top 10 were first round picks. Four were 2nd rounders and 3 were 4th or 5th rounders.
- Derrick Henry- TN- 2nd round.
- Saquon Barkley-NYG- 1st round
- Josh Jacobs- LV- 1st round
- Nick Chubb- Cle- 2nd round
- Dalvin Cook- MIN- 2nd round
- Dameon Pierce-HOU- 4th round
- Aaron Jones- GB- 5th round
- Miles Sanders- PHI- 2nd round
- Travis Etienne- JAX- 1st round
- Tony Pollard- DAL- 4th round
Good work Reid. Btw we’re actually in agreement here. I was saying we should draft an excellent RB on day 2 or even 3 of the 2023 draft. The stuff you were responding to that I posted earlier was just evidence of the current top 10 RBs by yardage and what round they were drafted.Somehow you left these out:
2018
rd 1 Rshaad Penny
Rd 1 Sony Michelle
so 66.7% of the Rbs taken in rd 1 were not exactly hits.
2018 2nd rd
Ronald Jones
Kerryon Johnson
Gerrius Guice
Rd 3
Royce Freeman
rd4
Nyhiem Hines
Mark Walton
Ito Smith
Kalen Ballage
Chase Edmonds
2019
RD3
Darrel Henderson
David Montgomery
Devin Singletary
Damien Harris
Alexander Mattison
Rd4
Bryce Love
Justice Hall
Benny Snell
Im not going to waste my time doing 2020 and 2021.
I hope you get my point here. For all of you saying how easy it is to replace Pollard by simply drafting him.... look at all of these RBs that were drafted between rd 1 and 4 that have been absolute BUSTS. Pollard has more big plays just this season than all of those RBs on my list COMBINED in their entire career.
IMO, they release Zeke or get him to take a massive pay cut and Id sign Pollard or tag him, but in no way do I let him walk. How come everyone is going to say you dont pay an RB, but yet if Pollard is allowed to walk, someone is going to pay the RB.

So here’s the process- this off-season it should be clear- we should cut Zeke at year’s end, tag Pollard in 2023, and draft a RB on day 2 or 3. (Somewhere in rounds 2-5) Then going into 2023 we have Pollard, a drafted RB and Malik Davis. Not a bad tandem.
difference being you want a qb long term, you dont want an rb long term. also far easier to draft a rb's replacement so a one yr bridge vs losing him outright makes sense (to me)
He's hardly been used these four years.
Sign him to a four year deal with a reasonable off ramp after three years and be done
