Cowboys getting a bad rap?

The Cowboys will always get a bad rap... everybody hates #1.

It's all due to the "America's Team" label and the clean image the Cowboys had during the Staubach years.

The Pats consistently win and winning makes the media and society overlook a lot of things. The Cowboys haven't been to a SB in 20 years and have only won 3 playoff games in 19 years. The lack of success over the past 2 decades makes many question a lot of the moves they make. If questionable moves lead to championships no one cares. Most of Cowboys Nation could care less if the Cowboys sign players with questionable character as long as it leads to wins on the field.

The Ravens consistently win and they don't get any breaks from anyone, especially Patriot fans and media.

They don't get the bad rap the Cowboys do and naturally they're not going to receive any breaks from Pats fans.

Obviously Ozzie Newsome gets a lot more respect than JJones does. But the Ravens have taken some big, and deserved hits over the years. Ray Rice, Terrell Suggs. Ray Lewis etc...

The Pats have a long list of bad character guys that ended with Hernandez, but LBlount, Ben Watson, Aqib Talib, Corey Dillon and others get a pass in NE because of Belichick. He intimidates the reporters so much they are afraid to say anything.

The Ravens have taken their hits with a few players but like with the Pats they've had a lot of success and won a SB just a few years ago. They had no problems with Ray Rice until his domestic violence charge and the Ravens promptly cut him once the video serviced. There's been a lot of focus on domestic violence since the Ray Rice incident and if a team signs a player who's been charged with domestic violence there's going to be some backlash. Even Jerry's own fan base has lost some respect for him due to the lack of success the team has had over the past 20 years. Every move he makes is heavily scrutinized. Winning cures a lot of things.
