The truth hurts, I guess.

If the truth hurt you would be on pain pills right now.

If the cowboys want to spend money on a player...they can spend money on the player.

There...there is sock to your nose and your eyes are now watering due to the truth hitting you between the eyes.

They didn't say that....they said they would "prefer" to not restructure Romo.

As for Hardy; I've always looked at him as either Murray or Hardy...but not both.

To have both, they would probably need to kick the can down the road one more time on Romo...OR sign Dez long-term now.

I love Demarco Murray, but if it where up to me (which it is not) I would rather have Hardy then Murray (as long as he gets some help).

Think it is easier to replace Murray then find a Hardy in the draft.

Man's gotta feed his family...

Latest news is Peterson met with Vikings' ownership yesterday in an attempt to get out of Minnesota.

More updates to follow.

Most GMs agree that possibly the easiest position to find is RB....and other than QB, maybe the hardest is a legit pass-rusher.
Would be nice to have both :)

Reality of the situation says otherwise, but that's ok.

Reality of the situation says otherwise, but that's ok.

History says otherwise.

It's ok to admit you are wrong.

If they want to sign a player, they can find a way to sign a player.

They just don't want to further damage the money/cap in the future to go hog wild on a player that does not pay off like they have done so many times in the past.

History is proof.

If they want to sign a player, they can.

You are flat out...Wrong.

But keep on beating that one trick pony/dead horse drum.

If you look at the leading pass rushers in this league..the ones with the most sacks are not even 1st rounders. Most of them are 2nd rounders, 3rd and 4th rounders.......Greg Hardy himself was a 6th rounder.

Well I mean who exactly is a immediate pass rusher? Demarcus Ware came into the league with 8 sacks. JJ Watt had 5.5. Even a top 10 or top 5 pick is gonna come in and struggle some as a rookie.

I'm not against Hardy coming here but with a suspension looming...what should the money be? What exactly could his market be?

Money is the million dollar question.
You've got a guy who was living a bit of a wild life --parties, coke et al that has sat out a year.
He is also coming off of a couple double digit sack seasons and was a franchise player.

6 sacks as a rookie is impressive. But you can't really expect that from someone taken at pick 27 or below. You'd like to think guys taken top 15 get you that as a rookie. see aaron donald

But it goes straight back to money.
Hughes got 9.5m and is a lesser pass rush talent than Hardy.
Also had to find a second team after fizzling in Indy so it could all be timing.
And the timing "MIGHT" be the only reason Dallas could get in on Hardy.

ultimately, not sure any of us have ANY idea about the money.
Hardy could get 100 million or he could get something much less because teams are scared he won't be around.

I know Dallas would love an upgrade at DE. Just not sure how they feel about Hardy.

Again you draft evaluate based upon premium pass rush traits which are usually found early in the first.

Some second round players can demonstrate these traits but in this draft most do not see much in the second unless someone falls based on value.

It is based on probability to develop not a slam dunk, undrafted and late round picks develop sometimes but probabilities vary.

You better hope we can grab Hardy, he can eliminate forcing the issue in the draft.

That's what you pay scouts for. To find these type of guys. Teams find them all over the draft. And you know what's funny is that those studs with premium pass rushing traits who teams gamble on in the 1st usually end up being busts.

While guys like Conner Bawrin, Justin Houston, James Harrison, Cameron Wake, etc. fall through the cracks.

They don't have to be Demarcus Ware. Just find pass rushers.
