Cowboys going after Greg Hardy?

Where are we going to get the money?

1. They have over 8M in cap space right now.

2. The first year cap hit on a 5 year, 50M contract would be about 3.2M.

3. They didn't say restructuring Romo was not an option. Restructuring his contract only guarantees most of his 2015 salary which will be guaranteed as of game 1 anyway.

4. They will likely free up money from Carr's contract. With either a pay cut, restructure or June 1st cut.

we have to be thinking about the Giants, the best way to beat them is putting pressure on Eli,without the pass rush he s going to carve us up next year.

It's not needed? Our window is now more than ever. Romo has maybe 2 years left.
If it isn't needed on this terrible defense, not sure when it would be.

So you want to mortgage the future by signing big names now ?

Actually would put Aaron Rodgers ahead of Eli, but yes the bottom line is no pass rush equals same results.

Yes, that's exactly what I want to do. Look at a team like the Saints, who pretty much did the same. It's bleak for them now, but they sure did have a hell of a run as a elite NFC team and a SB win under their belt. If we can have a shot at that type of success, then mortgage away!

Not one report of him visiting with us how is this still a thread

That means what exactly? That means nothing. Murray didn't meet with the Raiders or Colts but they talked to his agent so they showed interest. The point is there are sources that say the Cowboys are interested not that they plan to bring him in for a visit. 2 different things here

i think michael johnson may get released soon, he could well be worth a look as well

You eventually have to pay for talent. You might 'mortgage the future' by signing some of these guys, but you won't have a future if you try to compose a team of nothing but bargain budget players.

We need an infusion of talent on defense, not bodies.

Do you mean like he carved us up last year with our ineffective pass rush?

Yeah, while I do agree the Cowboys need more pash rush, the Giants haven't beaten the Cowboys since 2012. The only reason they beat the Cowboys in 2012 was Dez has one finger land out of bounds in the end zone.
