CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
My daughter was at the game and she LOVED the halftime show. She FB lived it. She is a big Eric Church fan and she had no idea he was the halftime entertainment. She felt like she got two tickets for the price of one.

At least it wasn't as bad as the horrid National Anthem for the Lions/Vikings game.

music is not dumbed down to the lcd. the nashville country artists are a joke from top to bottom.

Plenty of great bands and musicians out there.

Well maybe im just looking in the wrong places. Agreed about your statement about the current crop of Nashville artists, they all seem to be copy/pasted from the same cruddy formula.

Im not a country person but because of my job I am exposed to the texas artists and they are nothing like nashville artists. The nashville music machine has a formula and people eat it up and are making them all rich. I find it all unlistenable and terrible personally. I can't imagine how much all these artists and the producers laugh about how gullible their audience is behind the scenes.

The last time I watched a halftime show was Prince in the SB. The last time any halftime show was worth watching imo.

Tom Petty's halftime show a few years ago was pretty good. The Who did okay too besides Pete Townshend's gut hanging out. Katy Perry's was pretty cool with the lions and whatnot.

Agreed, it kinda of reminds of the hair metal explosion of the mid later 80s. They were a few good artists but after a while it was just formulatic, rock by numbers cruddola.

It would be a travesty if the ultimate American sport wouldn't have the biggest American hard rock/metal band of all time not at least headline a SB.

I always go outside to the Endzone and mingle. They'll never have any music I'm into for a halftime show, so I don't even waste my time.

One of the great things about NFL games is that halftime is only 12 minutes long. Glad this is only one game a year.

If the NFL is too scared to play metallica at the superbowl, i'm hoping papa jerry can at least get them to play for the thanksgiving game. The artists being selected are absolute jokes.
Metallica is pretty mainstream and have been around for decades. I would think the NFL would love that choice; safe, etc.

It was better than some rapper hopping around the stage with their pants down below their butt, grabbing their crotch.
