So glad I DVR'd the game and skipped halftime.

Yep. I always record and then start watching about 45 or so minutes into the game so that I can skip through the commercials and the boring halftime shows. When I zipped through half time yesterday, it seemed to take forever to get through. Was that one longer than usual? I didn't check the time of it, but it seemed 20-25 minutes long.

It was a bad day for music. Compared to Andy Grammer, Eric Church and Aretha Franklin's butchering of the national anthem, Dez and Norman's chirping sounded like songbirds.

Yep, I think ol' Aretha shattered the old record for longest National Anthem. I had no idea that the "Star Spangled Banner" could last 5 minutes.

The problem with Aretha's version is the context. People are blood-thirsty for football action. So it comes across self-indulgent, tedious...even torturous to dive into a 5 minute rendition.

In a different mood...different context her version might be awesome.
