While I get it, at this point we should all simply expect that this team is going to do dumb things and miss on easy layups.

Unfortunately this is just what it is now, it's sad
and then look, act, and feel shocked that we weren't a superbowl team!! lol Dang you Jerry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dallas would have rode Henry into the ground all game all season. Baltimore uses the read option and uses Henry most in second half of games. Lamar creates a lot of confusion and does some of the rushing. I don't believe Henry would be anywhere near as effective in Dallas.
You are correct.

Not only that but Henry was never coming here. People think because he bought a house down here that meant he wanted to come here and be close to home. Plenty of players live down here and don't sniff the Cowboys.

I mean what did he do this year...? Anything? So what if he is in the playoffs and ran for 186 yds and 2 TD's. Look what our RB's did. LOL!
This is a unpopular opinion but they handled the running back position the right way......sort of. Never pay for aging backs. Its working for a lot of teams this year. And I get it. But its been shown winning with cheap backs on rookie deals is the way to go.

Now the problem they made is not addressing the position at ALL in the draft.

This story will always be "we should've signed Henry"....even though I don't believe he would've signed here. But the correct decision should've been drafting one of these guys like Gurrendo or Irving who they expressed interest in and just didn't pull the trigger.

And most importantly.....Zeke shouldn't have been brought back or used as a 3rd stringer. That shouldn't have been your answer to running back.

I looked this up. Henry averages 12 carries in the first half this year. They ride him all game and he's built for it. Nobody prepares between games like he does which is why he has lasted so long. His recovery regimen is insane and 10x more than most NFL players do. The guy invests hundreds of thousands in his health every year. 1900+ yards at his age is insane. Henry helped that offense tremendously as teams couldn't just key on Lamar who had his first 4k yard passing season.

If Henry was in Dallas, the talk would have been how it's time for him to retire and he's past his prime. Instead, we see he is still one of the best backs in the league if not the best back.

Henry came into the league the same year Zeke did. Yet Henry is still trucking people over while Zeke is a shell of his former self.

Don’t believe the BS Jerry and his hammerhead son tell you.
I've been preaching this for years. Why anyone still listens to either Jerry or Stephen anymore is beyond me. Not a single word that comes out of their mouths matters. You have to follow their actions. That will let you know how they really think and feel. Their words stopped mattering a very long time ago.
