They will have money to sign players if they want to do so. They do need to sign Parsons soon and do the Dak and Lamb deals before free agency in March.

Random comment: If the Cowboys knew that 2024 and now 2025 were going to be tight years where they chose not to go all in on the roster, why did they give Dak a 4 year deal? Like Dak or not, if you don't even intend on competing, why not just let him walk and let everything clear itself up even faster allowing the team to be in a great position in 2026 or so. If that is your plan, why not just go with it?
2025 had a ton of void/dead money On Dak. 50M+

they added 40M and he gets to play for us in 2025.

not something most of us would have done.

Dak might be a post June cut in early 2026.

Lance is out best hope For 2026.

Just throwing it out there.....would any sane RB choose Dallas over that Ravens O-Line and complimentary QB? I know as fans we think everyone will drop anything to play for us (even that home town pull), but really he was never coming to us.

I mean, it’s a pretty well know thing we were his preference

Dallas would of rode Henry into the ground all game all season. Baltimore uses the read option and uses Henry most in second half of games. Lamar creates a lot of confusion and does some of the rushing. I don't believe Henry would be anywhere near as effective in Dallas.
He would have been the reason the Cowboys made the playoffs ,if he was in Dallas .Instead of watching other teams in the playoffs .This guy is a difference maker on any team.

The effective cap space for next year is negative $4.4 million. Really have no clue how but that is from Over The Cap. Can easily save $70 million but I believe the carryover is already spent.

I've come to grips that Henry would never chose Dallas over Baltimore if he was serious about contending. Jerry and co. would never admit but they never offered him a contract because 1)They are stupid and 2) they didn't' want their pride hurt when he turned them down.
this.

henry was never about to come here. that the story is that jj said no is just to save jerrys face.

just leave the case be i say.

You're a weird poster because its almost like you don't even read my post and just reply. Nothing I said was "making excuses for Jerry"....what I said was based on past winners you can either follow the blueprint or try to reinvent the wheel. Teams typically don't win with aged running backs. Maybe this year will be different. They should've drafted Bucky Irving. He was a solid fit. That's my take. Go with Bucky and Rico. How is that excusing Jerry? Syda is the only one that can tell us now....
Don’t disagree
Should have gotten a another RB but it’s understandable that they didn’t want to go after an older vet

Ehh that's tough to do now because when we drafted Zeke that propelled us to a playoff team. Now the goal is to win a SB and we didn't...but do we win one with Ramsey or Henry? Not sure. But Zeke did a lot for this offense and defense in that 2016 year.

Now regardless Jaylen should've never been the pick. Should've been drafted later or let someone else take him.

But Chris Jones....my goodness.

Mississipi St. was cranking out some DT's.....
Trade back to the late first/early second and pick up a first the next year….and pick Chris Jones and Henry on 2016 instead of Zeke. Never know with the draft though.

Us picking Jaylen in the 2nd round was just dumb.
