I was thinking points given up/series, where they're ~.15 better than we were IIRC. Top 7 or so where we're currently middling. Though there were times this season where we were in the top ten ourselves.

I don't agree with the statement that "this defense has been quite bad". They're clearly lacking talent at some spots, and it will take a good offseason, maybe 2, to fix that. Conversely, I think it's also clear that they're well coached, and play with the type of mentality you want in a defense. Largely a no name squad, they are capable of making plays, and have done so several times in crucial moments, and I think that goes a long way.

There are some who share your perspective, though I don't understand how they can "not" see a bad defense that has been b-slapped by the most mediocre of QBs out there. Good coaching and playing hard can only take you so far...
