They aren’t making the playoffs next year. At best they are the third best team in their division never mind the conference.
This guy is a failed OC who was never a top head coach candidate for 31 other teams and now he’s the coach of the Cowboys lol. It will only get worse from here. Weak head coach with a roster full of holes and no money.

Unless they make significant moves in FA and have a solid draft. I see 6-11 coming.

I think the reason why everyone is laughing and freaking out is because the reasons are relatively transparent:
- He will be cheap
- He will make Dak comfortable
- He will be willing to do what Jerry wants

Basically, the team has no interest in hiring a coach based on talent. Its all about making Jerry personally happy.

And it is 100% flawed and we as a fanbase will be let down so Jerry and Stephen can feel comfortable running the show. SMDH!

No one should be blaming Brian Schottenheimer for any of this. He didn't hire himself. I actually feel bad for the guy as he is being viewed with near unanimous scorn for a position that he was offered. This should be one of the happiest moments of his life, and sadly it will end up being one that has a mix of boos and a laugh track assigned to it.

If any moron at training camp or games chants Jerry's name and asks for their autograph, then they are not true fans of this football team. They are imbeciles.

Feel bad for the guy who has been a coach in the NFL for 25 years who just became the HC for the Cowboys? Ya not a chance. He signed up for it.

I don't think they'll say anything bad about No-Schott because there's not much reason to. I think some of them have already spoken out against the process and made their preferences known.

One of the few candidates to interview with the Cowboys, Kellen Moore, was said to “covet” the job according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

i think that moore probably covet the cowboys head coach job but probably did not want jerry jones to cut off his balls to be the head coach. maybe that is the reason he is not the coach instead of schottenheimer. i think i would have been more ok with moore being the headcoach instead of schottenheimer which is the same kind of coach as campo was.

That's kind of where I am. I think during his interview, Moore laid out what he expects and the Joneses moved on. I believe No-Schott was happy to get a head coaching shot since the last one he got was in 2010. I think he expected to remain a "hot name," but he ended up in situations where that didn't happen so he lost his shot. Just being finally given another chance at an HC spot was enough for him, but I also think he has enough confidence in his ability that he believes he can establish himself despite the Joneses' parameters for coaching the team.

I'm a believer that only the brand and cash flow matters to the Jones from Arkansas clan. Sure your money matters to them but do you?

Once the Press Conference is over Monday, we will see who lines up. THE POINT IS not that someone would say something bad about Schotte, but that they will now have GOOD things to say about him, as if he was top tier NFL Coaching Material.

So it's not calling a very average coach as poop, but it's inferring that a very average coach is "above average."
