Imagine the position flex having a backup dlinemen that can also play offensive line....
The cake field is over there...
Cowboys hope to keep Mexican Isaac Alarcon on final roster for regular season
Isaac Alarcon began this year's transition to defensive lineman in his last chance to stay with the Cowboys.
Mike McCarthy talks about the evolution of Isaac Alarcon
Dan Quinn said Alarcon has earned a real chance to compete for a spot after he's seen his progress since requesting the player transition to the defensive unit in December.
"He's going to be a factor for us. I love his talent, the size, his strength and he's mentally tough," he said.
Quinn observed Alarcon's capabilities last season as his physique resembles that of a natural defensive lineman prior to each game. In watching him, he concluded he had a potential player at that position.
"I've watched him since he got here. I've had my eyes on him and realized how tough he is in every aspect. I've always thought he's a lad we should include, help him develop. He's a quick kid, quicker than most offensive linemen. Defensively you have to have more speed (than offensively), so I think he's a good all-around fit. I have high expectations for him," he concluded.

the dollars that Jerry collects from a certain demographic. What dollars?
Smart businessman. This has been going on way before Jerry became owner. Hispanics/Latinos and Latin American countries and their citizens highly support the Dallas Cowboys.the dollars that Jerry collects from a certain demographic.
you said it, I didn'tSmart businessman. This has been going on way before Jerry became owner. Hispanics/Latinos and Latin American countries and their citizens highly support the Dallas Cowboys.
I said it because it's a fact. I'm also Hispanic, born/raised/live down by the border and have lots of family and friends in several Latin American countries who for decades have consistently told me how much their people love and follow the Dallas Cowboys.you said it, I didn't
You mean the dollars he collected before Isaac got on the team? Maybe I’m out of touch but I’m pretty sure that demographic was big before the Cowboys signed Isaac.the dollars that Jerry collects from a certain demographic.
Enjoy the diversity. It's our strength.totally about the dollars. Not going to say any more.
You obviously forget Jameill Showers.I agree. I can’t think of many - if any - success stories when a guy is changing sides of the ball after this many years in the league.
I believe Isaac Alarcón will be one of the last cuts, but he will be signed to the practice squad.I'll be shocked if he makes the cut. I feel if he makes the team he has 2 have an outstanding Camp in Oxnard. It will mean Big Bo and Gallimore get cut or traded, OR injured. otherwise, He aint making the 53.
thats 4 sure. He is a brick wall in stature.I would love to see him make the team and become a good player for the cowboys,he is definitely big and strong enough
In the NFL there’s no such thing as a ‘charity spot’. He’s been on an international gateway exemption. If he’s not good enough to justify keeping him on the PS or 53-man, he will be gone. I can guarantee you that.Yeah, wipe his slate clean. If he earns it by winning a spot, I want him out there. If they give him a charity spot based on his background over his merit as a player, that won't bode well with even our most loyal fans living in Mexico.
