?

the team is getting younger and better. Closer to the goal. Management appears to be going for it a little more this year.
as far as whatever or bust its way too early for that kind of talk.
Understood. I’m speaking from a broader sense not particularly this team this year.

As long as our franchise carry’s the playoff futility mark in playoffs with lack of a championship appearance, this will be the monkey to get off their backs this era.

The Cowboys are currently in the worst playoff futility run in NFL history with 12 consecutive playoffs without a championship appearance.

The meltdown begun over 2 decades ago. The cloud over this once proud franchise isn’t about Dak, Romo, etc.. It’s about Jethro Jone$.

And why until we finally break thru getting this gigantic futility monkey off this franchises back, it will always be about championship game or bust. And we as fans should keep the pressure on the oldest active GM in NFL history.
It gets worse when you listen to Stephen and realize he cares even less about winning.

IF being above average and no more is fine with you that is YOUR choice.
No it's not. I have zero control over anything that happens w/ the Cowboys.
Do you think you do?

If you can’t rebuttal my narrative or argument then step aside if all you have is character assault or personal insults .
If you can't handle honest and truthfulness but incorrectly call it as character assaults or personal insults, which is wrong, then stop acting out.

You’d think after our first consecutive 12 win playoff seasons since the 90’s would be enough to hype and build a renewed hope but fans were very frustrated after bowing out early again in the playoffs.

The Cowboys set new futility marks with longest playoff stretch ( 12 appearances) without a championship appearance and most divisional playoff appearances without a championship appearance. It’s now the longest drought in NFL history.

The Cowboys are now in a championship appearance mode or bust. And Jethro Jone$ appears to be listening to the outcry from fans . Well except for removing the oldest GM in NFL history , he is making some noise in FA . He even released Elliott.

Thus far he’s basically making some trades and contract moves most of his hardened critics would support. This is what our dysfunctional ownership does best. He listens to the outcry’s to re-embrace a frustrated and disillusioned fanbase . Except perhaps for the most important move needed.
He doesn't listen to us or care. All he sees is a packed a house every time Dallas plays a game and record breaking TV numbers. If he actually listened to the fan base, the team would look a lot different. All he's done so far is to sign a 32 year old CB , a WR on his 5th NFL team, and cut Zeke. The fact he seems awake this off season is just a testament to how lazy he's been in most previous off seasons.

And if he didn’t have a packed house ,etc he’d be forced to take action. But we continue sending him the wrong message with record revenue.

As much criticism as so many fans agree when it comes to our dysfunctional ownership there’s still a sizable contingency which comes to his defense despite the Cowboys historic record of playoff futility this era.

He traded 2 1st rounders for Galloway. Might not have happened right away, but there was certainly enough uproar in that time span to influence such a ridiculous decision.
Jones lost his Hall of Fame wide receiver. He wanted to maximize his Hall of Fame quarterback's receiving corps by giving him (what he considered) was the best receiver he could acquire, Galloway, as an 'equal' replacement for Irvin. Jones o-v-e-r-c-o-m-p-e-n-s-a-t-e-d in order to get what he wanted.

Why would anyone believe this action was a reaction to 'public outcry'? There is no correlation.

Well, if you want to believe Jethro has never been influenced by the public outcry , media, critics , fans, etc then that’s on you.

Like I’ve said . It’s my opinion he’s reacting. And it’s yours he’s not. And you can take the high road shooting it down because of your denial or belief he’s not influenced or belief he actually takes these actions on himself because of his great football instincts.
Well said. This is really just a simple difference of opinion or belief. You don’t see Jethro responding to the criticism whether it was passing on Moss, letting Cooper go, hanging on to Garrett too long, etc.

You don’t believe the public outcry which I’d define as critics, fans, sports writers , media, etc which weigh in on decisions influencing a reaction.

Perhaps we need to define “ public outcry “ ? Or you have a much higher esteem of Jethro and he is reacting all on is own with these decisions as though he doesn’t ever see or hear from the media or fans, etc.
I tried knowing I would fail. Thanks for the responses. lol.
