Only two weeks into the season we now have lost both our starting DE’s, starting right tackle and a starting WR. And that doesn’t count losing our All Pro RG in the opener.

Hopefully Gregory can return next week but who knows. The Chargers with Herbert and that passing attack must be kicking their chops now.

I was initially hopeful we could avoid 0-2 but not looking good now . We just can’t stay out of our own way. Pitiful !!

Frustrating, but a very long way to go.

Let's see what happens.

Even of they end up 2-5 or 3-6 they still aren't cooked with six games after Thankgiving including 4 division games.

It's awful that they keep losing guys almost daily, and I dont know if it stops here.....but this season has got to be about patience.

All we can do is report on events as they go. But if you’re sensing a 2-5 or 3-6 start then it’s not looking good.

At least we are FORCED to see what the youngsters can do. Bradley Anea et al.

They need to stop drafting depth. they need to say in each round who ever they are talking about taking, "COULD they be a starter right now or in 3 years" if NO move on to next guy, stop with the meandering to the current players and not drafting someone to take there job.

On the optimistic side, Martin should be back, we have a lot of pieces on offense in place. Defensively yes our starting dline is in shambles, but keep in mind we didn't get a single sack against Brady with them there. Hopefully the young guys will be motivated and ready to show their worth. I'm certainly not writing off this game by any stretch.

Typically no, but the playoff structure gives a home game to division winners, and in our case....if we win enough division games, 10-7 or 9-8 could serve the same purpose as 12-13 wins in another division.

It's been this way for a while (weak division). Irritating that we still can't take advantage.

Well after round 2 you’re not gonna find plug and play starters. So A) the "COULD they be a starter right nowadays” mentality only counts for those picks, and B) obviously other than late round picks the any FO believes the players they drafted are future starters.

Counting on drafting guys in round 4&5 to replace vets right away is extremely unrealistic.

If Gregory can't play, then the Cowboys will be missing 3 starters on the defensive line which was not very good to begin with. Don't forget about Gallimore. It is like a repeat of 2020 only on the defensive line.

If the WFT defensive line struggled against the Chargers what chance to the Cowboys scrubs have? Let's hope these injuries end now.

Trade down Trade Down and accumulate as many 2nd / 3rd round picks next year :)

Outside of the Collins situation there is nothing anyone can do, injuries happen and like any team Cowboys will have to contend with it. I must say however it seems each year 1 or 2 position not only take on injuries the back up to starters take injury.

I disagree. Missing cause of testing positive means were probably careless.

i think any one that is expecting much from randy gregory will be disappointed i think he is really just a guy

I said outside of Collins. Injuries can't be helped but going in and getting tested should not be a big deal regardless of how many times he has been tested. I guess Jerry is going to have to hire a baby sitter to walk these guys over to get tested. I expect a grown man to be able to abide by the rules and do it himself but evidently that was too much for Collins to handle

It comes down to discipline. Which hasn’t been a strong suit of this franchise for years.

So are we going to get these posts every hour? This is the new NFL...if you're a team that needs all your players healthy in order to win game? You won't make it. You're going to struggle. Only the teams with the best coaching will survive. When you have a sport as physical as the NFL you are going to have injuries.....but what is your depth like? What is your coaching like?

He has been so far. With possible exception of one season. 2018 I think it was?

But he’s still a starter which I doubt his backup is any better.

I'm sorry I'm not blaming jerry or the organization for what a fricken grown man should be responsible for doing. I put the blame square on Collins no one else. Scape goating others for ones on mistakes I just can't go
I’m not just talking about Collins. And if our leadership continues tolerating or bringing in athletes who aren’t as disciplined , then it does fall on him.
