I was going to say the same thing. It still comes down to homegrown players, but people see this as a bad thing for the Cowboys.
It's actually a good thing. The Cowboys are smart for keeping the cap space, especially if they want to sign Parsons and Diggs down the line.
In some ways, the open cap space is like dangling a carrot in front of players. Play well, and we have the means to pay you well. I actually like it, as an incentive.

This is generally a really good thing for a team. However, it is frustrating because if they would be just a little more active in veteran free agency, they would be an even better team.
But, yeah, they are absolutely one of the best drafting teams.
