Lol well the hope is his durability wouldn't be an issue if hes only a back up. Alot of people hate it but they didnt interview Dak like 7 times for no reason. If they sign an old guy they have to be looking at him as a mere stop gap until Dak is ready. I think a young guy like Glennon would be smarter though. No reason to put all our eggs into the Dak basket.
They interviewed Dak 7 times, but they had about that many QBs rated ahead if him that they wanted to take. Even Conner Cook was ahead if Dak on there draft board and they was going to draft him if he was still available. I think Dak is nothing more than a roll of the dice. They are hoping he will develop into a decent backup, nothing more.

I don't think I would. Manning never gives up or gets frustrated. I feel like Rivers is thought more highly of because he plays so far away from the spotlight. he is very good but he has never played with any pressure on him at all. Everyone around him takes the fall all the time and he is as mistake prone as they come.

Had rivers had to play in NY under the spotlight under an extremely demanding coach at a time when the NFC east was outstanding I am not sure he holds up like Manning has. He would have run his mouth constantly and I think he would be one of the most hated players in the league had he been in NY all these years.

He does have some of that Jay Cutler mentality in him and you may be right. I think Rivers is the more talented QB but the take home point here is that I hate Eli Manning and cant seem to bring myself to respect old dumb face.

He will probably be cut if RGIII shows something in Camp. Unfortunately, that would mean that he will miss our T/C...and that's not good for a QB expected to back-up Romo in THIS Offensive scheme.

Agreed. But I'd still prefer that to a panic move where this bunch gets fleeced once again.

broaddus just said on the break that he was told stephen jones is absolutely against giving up a draft pick right now.

Sounds like no move is going to be made anytime soon. This is really irritating to me as a fan, now all the offensive players will have to play at the pace of two qbs in dak and showers who have no idea what they are doing. That affects everything.

I prefer that strategy to getting pantsed in another trade. Panic moves seldom work out.

See, that's what I was worried about. That's the worst-case scenario in my book.

I don't want them giving up anything either which is why I really liked foles.

Now I know the offense is going to struggle big time in the preseason games. Its a continuing problem here. young players are going to be affected by this lack of move all over the field.

No worse than the time they wasted on Dustin Vaughn. He was useless too, but I think they ended up going 12-4 after wasting the preseason on him.

Yep that '14 preseason though they played romo and the starting line a bunch. Last year they pulled everyone earlier than 14 out of fear of injury.

Vaughn, Mcgee both wasted everyones time. Weeden got the concussion last year and we were forced to play showers.

I know they will add a vet relatively soon but It just seems like a crazy risk they are taking here that could have been avoided via numerous routes this offseason. And I say that as someone who likes moore. I wanted him to be the 3 however.

Read in a few places we are rolling with Showers and Dak. Gamble is that vet backups shake loose we can get one for nothing and hope we don't need him early season (or at all).

I think this can be huge for developing Dak and Showers. Don't think either is ever going to be a top starter but could become nice backups who can steal a game or two

If you want to develop QBs, you gotta waste time on lots of them

Ha! Personally I have loved the Cowboys Giants rivalry during the Romo-Manning Years. I wish they would have played in the playoffs 3 or 4 times. Its been the best rivalry in the league imo since they first squared off in 06.

I think Manning is a great player and I think him and Romo are the two best players in the nfc East and have been for some time.

No but we don't have anyone to trade at the moment. That comes at the end of camp after cuts.

Broaddus also said today he texted sean payton about this possible trade and was waiting to hear back from him.
