I think D. Martin could be had for less than Leary personally. He's at the top of my wish list as well.

Makes more sense than Forte. Not that he is better, but more that he also is in his final year of his contract and Tampa is ready to give the keys over to Charles Sims. More of an even trade. Forte also does not have anyone threatening him for the starting job, unless for some odd reason the Bears want Ka'Deem Carey more than they are saying.

I'm going to guess Lamar Miller from Miami, Knile Davis from KC and Khiry Robinson from the Saints. Of this bunch Robin doesn't belong on this list with the other 2.

I believe Lamar Miller was Dennis' top choice but Knile Davis was also listed. Broaddus did say that Dennis is looking in the
right circles.

If you thought Murray was slow... Wait to you see Forte..

...............I don't know if it's because he's in Chicago or what. He just doesn't seem interested. JMO, of course.

Meh. He probably just hates Cutler, like everyone else.

I think the OL depth Leary provides is too valuable. But I'd probably take a second or third round pick and one of those backs for Leary.

They need to keep LEary.

In fact i'd beg him to sign an extension and just be a backup to lengthen his career.

He's not going to stay here to be a backup in a contract year. Leary is on last year of
cheap contract and makes the most sense to trade for RB.

Ajayi would have to really be knocking their socks off for them to move on from Miller who had a fine season. Davis and Robinson are not interesting to me at all. As little as I think of Randle, I do not see either of them significantly better than him to the point I am giving them a potential starting quality guard for that.

I think Mark Ingram was also listed as a possible trade RB for the Boys even though he got
a contract this year. I think it will be a No. 2 RB who shares running duties on game day.

I don't know if I would give up Leary to get him, but I would love to bring in Doug Martin. When he's healthy, he's a great back.

I think he is on the list... I'm pretty sure Broaddus said that Chris Johnson is not being pursued and won't be.

Highly doubtful--again teams usually don't commit to a player in free agency then turn around and trade them.

I also think Leary is not viewed on the same level value-wise as backs like Ingram and Miller.

I doubt it is Spiller. It would be highly unusual for a team to sign a fairly expensive free agent then just turn around and trade him.

I get why Leary would be a good candidate to peddle in trade, but I would not be so quick to give him up for some run of the mill back like these three have in reserve.

Now Tampa, yes, I would trade Leary for the Muscle Hamster.

The Muscle Hamster?

You might be correct that Leary might not be enough but Broaddus seemed to know that some
kind of action (deal) is being constructed for execution this summer. He didn't think he could
yet disclose exactly who the targets were just yet.

Potentially looking for back up help in case of injury during the season and at least provide a little more competition. Plus who knows how the preseason will shake out as far as injuries to the current backs.

Yeah, exactly. All teams are almost certainly doing the exact same thing for each and every position. RB isn't the only position we are looking at as a just in case.

What else are GMs and their staff supposed to be doing now? You do your research now and are much better prepared if something should happen later.
