Cowboys looking at teams for RB trade?

The difference is the huge salary that McCoy came "bundled" with. The fact is Eagles weren't going to get a lot. And now the Bills are stuck with his salary for a number of seasons.

But even with the salary he was one of the top backs in the league and got swapped for a guy sitting out a year. If Leary was going I'd prefer a look at Gio, he's been bumped down the depth chart and could add a real nice receiving threat out of the back field.

He may have something in the tank, but Forte has seen his better days. 5th and lower for him.

He used to run 4.46, but that was 7 years ago. He'll be 30 in December.

Louisiana boy who might want to come down here -- but who wouldn't want to run behind this line?

Would not trade Leary for him, unless the medical staff thinks his days are numbered.

I think Gio's a decent choice.

There are words and then their are actions. I don't know Dennis & Broaddus reporting is factual or not. If it is then that does tell me Jones and the Cowboys are concerned more than they are saying publicly.

It basically comes down to what you prefer this season as a one year rental.

OL depth, or a #1 RB?

And that's a valid point.

I think it can be argued either way.

There is merit in keeping Leary and releasing Berny, i.e. salary cap space.

I'm not worried about the running back position. I'm just not sure "the guy" is on the roster as of right now.

Plus who knows what injuries can to the RB unit during training camp.

You always need to be on step ahead.

Makes more sense than Forte. Not that he is better, but more that he also is in his final year of his contract and Tampa is ready to give the keys over to Charles Sims. More of an even trade. Forte also does not have anyone threatening him for the starting job, unless for some odd reason the Bears want Ka'Deem Carey more than they are saying.

Unless the Bears think Langford is up for the challenge to replace Forte.

I have to say I am concerned, Taking what was a strength into a possible weakness is concerning. Believe me I'm hoping the guys we have can step up their game and prove they are more than capable but until you see them actually doing it, for me it will be a concern

I honestly think there is a disconnect between what the coaches think they need and what the top-brass believes is needed.

I would love LeGarrette Blount. Team him up with either Randle or Williams

This is who I want outside of you know who.

I will tell you I'm not so sure Collins beats out Leary. He hasn't even practiced with the team yet for crying out loud!

OK, if that's he case, then I stand corrected.

That should add some good value if we were to trade him though. 1-2 risk free, cheap years of a good OG would be worth it for several of these teams. I think particularly Miami with Miller. Of the RBs listed, he's the only one I'd give up Leary straight up for, while I'd only do a 5th for D. Martin.
