Always thought the guy was a decent slot-corner. Don't know why he hasn't been able to stick anywhere. Never read anything about him being a "cancer" in the clubhouse.

The Cowboys will meet with free-agent cornerback Brandon Boykin, according to sources. He was signed by the Carolina Panthers in March and cut in May. He had one interception last year with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Still confused about why Boykin isn't signed. Dude's only 25. There's speculation about a degenerative hip condition, but signing him to a short term contract would really shore up our CB position.

He's only returned one punt in the nfl. Probably not going to beat out Lucky there.

Has returned more kickoffs in NFL. But look at these college return and rushing stats (especially "only player in SEC history with three 100-yard plays"):

*7 kickoff returns vs. No. 12 South Carolina in 2011
*187 kickoff return yards vs. S. Carolina in 2009
*Long kickoff return of 100 yards (3x), last at Kentucky in 2010
*1 kickoff return TD (4x), last at Kentucky in 2010
*Long punt return of 92 yards vs. No. 12 Michigan St. in 2011
*1 punt return TD of 92 yards vs. No. 12 Michigan St. in 2011
*2 carries vs. No. 12 South Carolina in 2011
*80 rushing yards vs. No. 5 Boise St. in 2011
*Long rush of 80 yards vs. No. 5 Boise St. in 2011
*1 rushing TD vs. No. 5 Boise State in 2011
*Long TD rush of 80 yards vs. No. 5 Boise St. in 2011
*1 reception (5x), last vs. Michigan State in 2011
*42 receiving yards vs. New Mexico St. in 2011
*Long reception of 42 yards vs. New Mexico St. in 2011
*1 receiving TD (2x), last vs. No. 12 Michigan St. in 2011
*Long TD reception of 42 yards vs. New Mexico St. in 2011
Career: UGA leader in career kickoff returns yards with 2,663 (110 ret.), which ranks second in SEC history.
*Only player in SEC history with three 100-yard plays (of any kind)

Good signing if we do get him.

Put him in the slot, slide Scandrick outside with Carr.

Couldn't get on the field for one of the worst secondaries in football last year.
