Would be interested to see what's actually going on with this guy, and why he hasn't been able to keep or find a job more recently.
Within the last year:
- The Eagles traded him to the Steelers, and he had trouble getting on the field with the Steelers despite their need.
- The Panthers signed him & reportedly only guaranteed him $80,000. Then they drafted CB's in the 2nd, 3rd (on a trade up), & 5th rounds, & released Boykin. That was also after rescinding the tag on Norman.
- Atlanta brought him in for a workout, but passed. Falcons HC Dan Quinn reportedly said he looked "rocked up" and showed some speed, but wanted to wait on medical reports before making a decision.

I've read some regarding the rumors of a hip issue:
http://www.steelersdepot.com/2016/06/carnell-lake-brandon-boykin-degenerative-hip-condition/
Despite starting 7 games in his career while largely playing from the slot...Boykin has 8 Int's, 37 passes defensed, & 5 forced fumbles.
