Looks like the great Oline and average back is out in front so far this season.

Now that we have some roster spots open, I'm hoping C-Mike is activated so our RBBC is complete. We sorely lack the power-type of RB that can get the tough yards when needed. The staff must assuredly be testing his capabilities in the pass blocking area at this juncture. His inclusion in the RB corps is more of a necessity than a luxury at this point. Here's hoping he shows enough in his pass blocking to encourage the staff to activate him in a timely manner.

Well that is one way to make sure your thread on Murray doesn't get moved to the NFLZone.

You just back-door'ed it by making the title Cowboys related, knowing the conversation will turn to Murray and his poor showing.

Joseph Randle - 16 carries, 65 yards, 4.1 YPC.

What is your argument? That our O-Line can elevate average play? Because I didn't see it.

He played about how I expected all offseason. Just slower to the hole.

Yeah. He seemed quicker in practice and the preseason, one demonstration as to why we as fans need to ignore that stuff.

I'm not worried about the run game (yet).

What I saw was the Cowboys' offense taking advantage of what the Giants were giving them. Those quick passes out to Beasley, Dunbar, Street (ugh) were working well enough to move the ball. Giants didn't adjust to stop it so why get away from it (in that game)? Next game may be different.

I'm happy that Linehan and Garrett were able to make those adjustments instead of continuing to stick with what wasn't working as well.

The OL wasn't nearly as dominant as it was at times last year. It's not like there were huge holes to run through.

Randle did look a bit tentative, at least early on. He'll get better as the season goes on.

I doubt this, but we'll see.

The thing that stands out about Randle to me is he is easy to bring down.

B/w the tackles..he doesn't break any tackles and the first guy to touch him stops him.

He runs better off tackle and on the edge.

Which makes him too similar to Dunbar.

I'd prefer to see more DMac b/w the tackles.

I think that is more perception based on 1 or 2 plays than reality. Randle can break tackles.

I agree. I would love to see him get a few carries to see what he can do.

That our backs will do just fine behind our great line. And that Murray only had success because he got the ball 450 times and was running behind a line that opened up monster holes for him all year long.

11 carries for 9 yards on the Murray front. Thats called pathetic. I guess he wont be breaking any records this year eh? Now Cowboys line for him and no 450 touches.

I think statistically we may as well call this Giants game a wash. Three flukey turnovers completely turned the gameplan on its head and we had to be in catch up mode all game.

Garrett doesnt make the adjustments anymore. He doesnt run the offense. We can all be happy about that.
