Joseph Randle - 16 carries, 65 yards, 4.1 YPC.
What is your argument? That our O-Line can elevate average play? Because I didn't see it.
He played about how I expected all offseason. Just slower to the hole.

The OL wasn't nearly as dominant as it was at times last year. It's not like there were huge holes to run through.Joseph Randle - 16 carries, 65 yards, 4.1 YPC.

Randle did look a bit tentative, at least early on. He'll get better as the season goes on.

The thing that stands out about Randle to me is he is easy to bring down.
B/w the tackles..he doesn't break any tackles and the first guy to touch him stops him.
He runs better off tackle and on the edge.
Which makes him too similar to Dunbar.
I'd prefer to see more DMac b/w the tackles.
Now that we have some roster spots open, I'm hoping C-Mike is activated so our RBBC is complete. We sorely lack the power-type of RB that can get the tough yards when needed. The staff must assuredly be testing his capabilities in the pass blocking area at this juncture. His inclusion in the RB corps is more of a necessity than a luxury at this point. Here's hoping he shows enough in his pass blocking to encourage the staff to activate him in a timely manner.
He's got to do a lot better than that especially with Dez out.

Well that is one way to make sure your thread on Murray doesn't get moved to the NFLZone.
You just back-door'ed it by making the title Cowboys related, knowing the conversation will turn to Murray and his poor showing.
I was hoping for better as well.Yeah. He seemed quicker in practice and the preseason, one demonstration as to why we as fans need to ignore that stuff.
I'm not worried about the run game (yet).
What I saw was the Cowboys' offense taking advantage of what the Giants were giving them. Those quick passes out to Beasley, Dunbar, Street (ugh) were working well enough to move the ball. Giants didn't adjust to stop it so why get away from it (in that game)? Next game may be different.
I'm happy that Linehan and Garrett were able to make those adjustments instead of continuing to stick with what wasn't working as well.
