Jerry and Wade backing off Super Bowl talk
Jerry and
Wade are talking during the press conference about high expectations but going very far with Super Bowl talk. Good move. This teams needs to worry about playoff victories first. How long has it been? Jerry even said he may have lost some credibility when it comes to predicting his teams making the Super Bowls.

Wade wanted Garrett to stay
Certainly it seems apparent offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is the next Cowboys head coach and he is a very well-paid assistant. Jerry just said he spent a long time talking with Wade Phillips about attempting to keep Garrett when he was being recruited for head coaching positions. Phillips wanted Garrett to stay to keep the continuity and build on the things he did with this offense because he feels it makes the Cowboys better.
It just doesn't bother Wade that Garrett is looming behind him.

Terry Glenn and his agent about his status. Glenn and the Cowboys have not come to a resolution regarding his injury waiver. Jerry said he will have an update on Glenn shortly.

Don't ask Wade to call this a Super Bowl team
Wade Phillips just said he expects a lot but...."We're not in the predicting business, we're in the coaching business."
Cowboys vice president
Stephen Jones said he didn't see any reasons why first-round picks Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins won't be signed very soon and in camp. "I don't see any reason why in the next day or so we can't get things worked out."

Press conference is underway
Jerry Jones is currently giving his yearly address to the traveling Cowboys media pack. Stay tuned for notes from the press conference and complete audio from the event.
Jerry has already talked about what a great team he has this season no doubt the expectations are enormous. He said the Cowboys could have a better team and not have as many wins as last year's 13-3 finish. The Cowboys have constructed a super stage for this year's camp as you can tell by the photo.
Maybe Jerry will let Wade talk here in a minute. This is up-to-the-sound-byte coverage here. Wait, Wade is ready to talk.
