Obviously Wade's position is "last year is last year" It's time to focus on this season. He's not interested in discussing reasons behind the failure of last year. Ready to move on.

Glenn is definitely getting cut tomorrow

I'm not so sure about that... I believe they'll get it worked out, Jerry has treated him well considering the circumstances. Terry will think long and hard.

But if there is no new update on the discussion and there will be an update on Glenn's situation with the team later on then I would think the only thing they can do is part ways.

I still can't believe Glenn didn't sign the waiver.

Wow, as I am writing Stephen Jones just hinted Glenn is going 'on some list' tomorrow. ????????

Funny how he takes that stance unless it can benefit him...like "we have a tougher schedule than the Giants do this year" since we play GB and TB this year and they don't. That was right after he got through saying the Giants weren't the Super Bowl champs anymore.

Maybe. They can then take him off the list when they get something done.
I was only half listening towards the end, but it definitely sounded like something's gonna happen by the time the players have to report to practice.

PUP sounds about right, since they don't HAVE to cut him until Sept. 1

a question was asked about Glenn being put on a list because he has not reported, and Stephen said reporting is officially tomorrow.

he then stated more about Glenn would be discussed tomorrow.

the tone of Jerry and Stephen's voices when discussing Glenn makes it seem like a decision to cut him has been made and Terry's agent will be informed shortly.

Terry Glenn saga should be settled tomorrow

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips
Jerry Jones said he has chatted with Terry Glenn and his agent, James Gould, today. Jerry didn't want to elaborate on the standoff between the receiver and team, which wants Glenn to accept a split-salary situation as insurance in case his bum right knee gives out again.

"Right now, there's no change there with Terry," Jerry said.

Jerry gave a rambling, confusing answer to a follow-up question when asked why an owner who has spent so many millions is so worried about saving $1.2 million (difference between Glenn's salary and the $500,000 the team wants to give him in case of another knee injury). I was especially puzzled at the point where he started talking about turning off the lights when nobody is in the room.

It was a classic case of Jerry dancing around a question he didn't want to answer. But he made it pretty clear that the Cowboys will either get rid of Glenn or welcome him to training camp tomorrow.

"I don't want to spend a lot of time on it today," Jerry said, "because then I won't have anything to talk about tomorrow."

In other contract news, Stephen Jones said he doesn't expect any problems in getting first-round picks Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins signed in the next day or so.

calvin watkins is grilling wade on the poor december.

some of the media guys..scruggs, dennis, watkins sound upset or angry or something.

kind of weird. They never bullied parcells like this. wade needs to put his foot down and put these guys in their place.

Yep, what a soap opera. Most of the people in town are just waiting for Wade to mess up so they can dog him... Or they just do it without waiting for a reason. And I think that if Wade barks back, they'll just say that he's insecure and uncomfortable, so it's a no-win situation.

On the other hand, Newy asked about Wade getting a contract extension IMO because he's actually a Wade fan and thinks the premature anointing of Garrett is absurd.

Then you have the others like Dennis trying to goad Jerry into making some wild prediction so they can hold it over the team's head at the first sign of underachieving.

Much like Congress, I wish there were a way to flush all these turds and start fresh with a whole new crew. Where have you gone, Albert Breer?

usually for stuff like this laufenberg, doocy, cowlishaw at least keep the pc respectable and about football.

this was a train wreck tonight for both wade and the media. they all came off pretty bad.

It was a train wreck for sure.

I think the local media was showing off for the cameras, and Wade and Jerry never flexed their muscle. Maybe that's a good thing. If you challenge them or don't play their game they'll villify you like they've done for Roy. But dang if it wasn't embarassing to listen to.

Exactly... That's why Jerry is such a sweetheart to Dale Hansen despite Hansen bashing him for years and years. If you try to snap back, you can't win. Barry Switzer learned that.

Of course, Barry didn't much give a damn.

Embarrassing in what sense? To Jerry and Wade? Or to the media? I didn't watch.
