Interesting, Jerry's supposed to do a webcast at 2:30 on DMN.

I hope Wade is going to be on there. I realize he doesn't worry about perception, but I liked the fact that the coach was the face of the franchise.

I can't think we'll get a lot of insight in this thing. Even if you did, you wouldn't be able to believe 10% of what is said.

Giving up the entire draft to get Calvin Johnson isn't Lacewell's style. Trading a 3rd, 4th and 5th to move up two spots to get a questionable player like Jarvis Moss, when he would probably be there at 22 anyway, would be more his style.

I picture Lacewell to be the Paulie Walnuts of the Cowboys organization. Hopefully before the draft Jeff Ireland rents a deep sea fishing boat and carries an aluminum baseball bat in his totebag.

I like Jerry, he's a good salesman. Whenever we sign a player, it's nice to see him beeaming and talking the guy up. He can talk to me all day about his new shrine.

I'd just like him out of sight and mind until Saturday. Even then, I'd like him to take a backseat to Wade and Ireland.

every team does this, we just didnt do it with parcells.

If you look around at the ny papers, kc papers, washington etc...they all have a pc of some sort before the draft.

Fair enough. It's not so much the idea of the press conference as the aversion to opportunities for Jerry to hog the spotlight. I'll check it out, still.

Usually I would agree, but I think this has become common place around the league, just another marketing tool for the nfl.

Like for instance, I wouldnt dare miss it today and there probably no new information whatsoever...!

Jerry is explaining that the December grades the players get -- before the combine festivities and other Pro Day olympics -- are by far the most important factor. He says the grade after that shouldn't change too much, and if it does, he wants to know why.

Anti-Jerryites won't like the number of "I"s Jerry is using, though.
