1995 we had three 2nd rd picks and wasted them (although Sherman Williams wasnt an awful reach, he was supposed to be a 2nd or early 3rd rd guy)...the problem then was "we want to draft backups"...that was a Jones quote...today, you see Jones say "we want to draft starters"

he gets it now...he didnt then

An IMPACT player. That means RB, WR on offense; on Defense a rush player- OLB- or maybe a DT that can tear it up inside. I do not see a FS or CB doing that. Now if you could get someone all world at FS then yes- but Landry goes in the top 10. Ther is only One RB (Peterson) and one WR (Johnson) that would do it. Branch - or Okobi- at NT. OLB- Adams will go top 10 as well; who else is there?

Got to agree. I'm not sure there is a player in this draft worth two #1s INCLUDING Calvin Johnson. Hoping this is a smoke screen.

Folks, this whole thing is a smoke screen. Believe it. Jerry is not going to let anybody outside of the war room know his intentions 6 days before the draft.

I'm surprised he even had the PC, but maybe he is trying to sell tickets for this year's season, knowing full well a lot of people are hanging on every word he is saying.

I want to know where his airplane is on Saturday morning. That will tell you who he is drafting.

I maybe wrong but last year didnt he say over and over we would take a tight end on the first day and everyone said it was a smoke screen?

Nobody knows, but lucky for all of our health all our questions will be answered in 5 days

oh and every team has a pc like this now the week of the draft, look around the league, everyone is having them. I listened to some chiefs stuff today.
