That was less than I expected so I'm onboard with it.

Onto the defense.

We blew another 3rd round pick on Brewster. Man, that 09 class is turning into the crapper. Total waste of an entire draft class.

We need to get seriously better at drafting OL. Let's hope things year's rookie class takes a step up.

Then you are not trying hard enough or are just too angry to think back.

Or possibly too young to know about the Cowboys worst ever draft.

Kudos to the team for getting this deal done.

They said it was priority #1 and they were right.

A bit shorter in years than I expected, but right around the dollars per year.

Very happy this is out of the way!

'09 is getting dangerously close to the same stench of 1995.

1995 isn't our worst either.

1971 holds that distinction...easily.

That is going back a ways. Before my time.

Just looked it up though and you're right, what a mess!

But '09 is surely in the Hall of Shame picture.

I don't think the Tampa interest was ever very real. You don't go after LT's to play RT. I think Free's agent threw Tampa's name out there in the press to get Jerry to come up to their request of $8 million a year. Either way, I like the move. It's $1-1.5 million a year less than I thought they were going to have to play.

doubt that. team personnel talk. agents also won't get anywhere without reasonable credibility on issues like this

The reporter from Dallas camp just said on NFL Network that her sources told her last night that the Tampa rumor from last night not was "not the case".

I was offered a football scholarship to Darmouth, but took an Appointment to the US Air Force Academy....back when occupational mobility was a realistic option.

I guess I have to start liking peplaw now.:)

Dallas reached agreement on a four-year, $32 million deal that included $17 million in guaranteed money with OT Doug Free.

From the 2009 class I would take Victor Butler, Brandon Williams, and David Buehler over Bill Gregory who was the only player in the 1971 class to do anything. I also think McGee and Phillips deserve more than the scorn that class gets.

17 picks in 1971.

I don't know if it is that clear. The drafts from 96-2001 stank it up pretty good. We got the Hotel, Dat, Coakley. Anyone else worth a thing from that entire era?
