It's going to take sooo much more than that. I promise. I read it hear a minute ago. Jerrah's an idiot for not locking him up earlier for more money.

Great job by our front office to lock up our LT/RT for years to come.

Absolutely.

At $8 million per year, he'll be the sixth-highest-paid tackle in the league.

That somehow sounds like a bargain after the horror stories being told in the Doug Free rueage thread.

$32M over 4 years

$17M guaranteed

If these numbers are true, it seems like a great deal in relation to what most thought he would command. I'm just glad he's sticking around.

Great news, and not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be.

We got bookends for the next half decade, at least. That's a good start to this year's free agency.

Next up is getting Bowen into camp, followed by a safety.

I scoffed at the idea....Oh Krishna. Thank You. That's actually a fair deal and seems as if Free may have stayed for a fair price. I wonder what they offered him?

Edit: Nevermind, that's only a 4 year deal for the best RT in the league. He'll eventually be moving to RT, imo, when Smith's time comes. But that's not a bad thing.

I actually think we made out alright. Free is not a house hold name yet but look out.

Yeah he might be the 6th highest paid LT but atleast he is on our team. Every year the price of a position basically goes up so I'll take it.

NICELY DONE JERRY! we didn't even over pay him, IMO! Garrett not messing around.

I like it.

Crisis, and board meltdown, averted.
