8 mil a year?

hmmm......expensive....but thats what the market says..

Hopefully this report is true.....I like Free...we needed him....

And to think, I didn't even have a chance to rue his leaving before he was back.

We still spent too much but I'll take it.

Nvm.. That's a good deal. Doubt he sees 8 mill a season.

Probably more like 6.5 which is his true worth.

Lol, c'mon man.

it's a very very very reasonable contract for a LT

I understand......guess that is what the market dictates....

Jerry usually gets what he wants....Im happy.....

I think RG will play itself out....and I hope the rumours are true that Dallas did make those cuts ......now lets sign some of our DL and get a safety.....

all will be set for a interesting year :)

I'm very, very relieved that the Cowboys re-signed Doug Free. Good for him. He is getting some really good money, and I don't mind the Cowboys doing what it takes to get this done. Free is a solid, dependable, athletic offensive tackle.

LT- Doug Free
RT- Tyron Smith

Solidified!

Tyron Smith is going to be a monster run/space blocker on that right side. I can't wait!

wheres all the doubters know ????????????????

good deal

Cowboys agreed to terms with OT Doug Free on a four-year, $32 million deal.

The deal includes $17 million in guarantees, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Cowboys gambled by refusing to franchise Free at $11 million for 2011, and it paid off despite the reported "dogfight" with the Bucs. We suspect that was overplayed by Free's agent in an attempt to drive up the price on the Cowboys. Free is tentatively expected to stay on Tony Romo's blindside this season, though

At $8 million per year, he'll be the sixth-highest-paid tackle in the league.

Adam - you know this was really about length, right? You do. I know. You just can't come out with that right off.

He gets paid and on the market again at 31. It is a great deal for him

Since I was one of the first fans to comment about him on the radio, should I start an I told you so thread?

LOL

The guy played lights out from his first game on and did more than asked of him. He deserves that contract.

I'm going to crawl back into my hole and hope to see some brilliant moves made.

I was starting to get scared, not because free is so great just yet. I think he still has a lot to prove. But because what else would we do at left tackle?

Some posters want to chip with a RB or a TE and while that's fine...the game starts and begins at LT.

I believe that theory. You must protect the blindside or you will not fair well.

Good going Dallas.
