I hope notYou know that's coming next.

Ah okay, thanks for the info. Appreciate it.Way I read the deal. Is 1 year. 3 mil.
They can cut him next off season before more money kicks in.
5 of the 8 guarantee million is guarantee for injury only.
if it’s a 1 year 3 million deal. That’s fine for quality depth IMO
I may be a little off.
he won’t see the whole contract and he won’t make 5 mil APY though. It’s more like 3-4 per year for 1-2 years.
That's kind of scary. I hope we really need up the D linemen if these guys are going to be on the field a lot. Diggs, Brown and Lewis kind of scare me if they have to cover for 5-10 seconds.IMO, they are putting Lewis and Brown into starting roles. That’s a lot of coin for nickel and dime players

Totally agree.I was encouraged by Diggs progress last year. Getting a legit vet on the other side would have been the best thing for him.
And we’re going to draft a corner either in round 1 or 2.With Lewis back in the fold, the Cowboys at least have some semblance of veteran depth in their secondary. Lewis' contract is awfully reminiscent of the 3 year, $15 million deal Brown signed last offseason. Those two, combined w/Diggs, gives them 3 experienced starters. BOOM!

I think keeping Lewis is a plus. He’s a better player than what we saw last year. We’re going to draft a CB in either round 1 or 2. But we’re going to need a real productive draft.
Guess we can scratch CB off the needs list....
