The FO is just going to do whatever it wants. Cant keep every fan happy. Fans on here loved last years free agency until it didnt work out and then the FO was dumb for it.

You guys hate every move the FO makes. Complaining on the daily doesnt get old for you guys?

At first glance I thought we overpaid fir him, but as the details come out the Jones boys may have not done a bad job in this signing. Cheap player with some upside.

You want better than him, but even if he starts it’s not a complete train wreck for the money.

what a HORRIBLE contract ..!!!
We can do that for Lewis who is a scrub slot guy ....but we could not sign run stuffing supreme Dalvin Thompson to a 2 years 20 million contract ?

Anthony Brown will be the nickel. Jourdan will be 4th if they draft a guy.

so we're cool with paying (overpaying) 5.5 million for a 4th CB ? ... that's utterly ridiculous.
Lewis gets that money to be among starting 3 CBs, this makes either Brown or Lewis the starting RCB or slot guy .
and it could spell any early emphasis on CB with his guaranteed 8 million .

you mean this is our FA splash ..?? :lmao2:

I'm pretty okay with it. Contract is by no means awful, and Lewis is plenty young enough to prove doubters wrong.

Still a lot of work at DB to do, still.

Good to average teams will again pick this secondary apart at will. The only player that looks for the ball is Diggs!(thank god Awuzie is outta here, tired of seeing his back) We just never learn. I honestly thought this was the year we would address DT and plug the middle for our LB's to make plays! Nope. I guess we will see the same thing again and hope we can outscore everyone. With the #10 pick, the Dallas Cowboys select Kyle Pitts, University of Florida.

Lewis/Brown are the bridge veteran free agents pending the draft.

Surprised that they guaranteed lewis 8mil, though. The money is fine, but not the guarantee.

Secondary better have improved over last year with Washington getting Curtis Samuel and NY likely getting Galloday along with the speed of John Ross if he can stay healthy.

Lewis is a very good nickel back, and given what corners are getting paid these days, his contract is a bargain.

He's a better player than Awuzie and look what the Bengals paid him. This is one move by the Cowboys I'm 100 percent on board with.

Most likely back loaded and a salary cap dump after 2 years. So yea, he will be with the team at least two and if he excels, then year 3 is a bargain.

Awesome, we get to hear, "holding, defense #26, 5 yard penalty, automatic 1st down," for 3 more years!

Championship!

False start....Offense, number 82....

8 million over three years guaranteed won't hurt the cap. Draft a starting corner to play opposite Trevon Diggs; put Lewis in the slot, and if Maurice Canady can be the 4th corner the Cowboys might be able to do something with Anthony Brown (cut or trade?). Not sure what the cap number with Brown would be though.

This is not a bad deal for Lewis. He had a down year, but he's a perfect fit for what Quinn does. He's good from a back pedal in read and react situations. He's an aggressive tackler and a willing blitzer. It's not a "move the needle" signing, but it fill a need by putting a round leg in a round hole.

Diggs, (Farley/Surtain/Horn), Lewis, Brown

You do realize we are in the 1st official day of free agency and we are about a month away from the draft.
