The thread is crazy long so probbaly already suggested but this is likely to buy time at MLB while McClain is on suspension.
Brinkley and Rivers are basically 3rd and 4th type backers at best.
But they do give us some depth and we've needed that at LB every year.
If the eventual starters are Lee, Ro and Hitchens with Brinkley, rivers and Wilber as your 4-6 that is a pretty salty group.
CowboysZone: Where depth signings are met with derision.
Just looked at ESPN FA tracker. Bill Polian plays a part in it. It's a quick tool with good filters to see how each team or position group is doing.
Anyway, it had Jasper Binkley rated slightly ahead of Durant and Carter
what rating? the grade is assigned by contract $ amount, but I see no rating. If we signed Jed Collins to a 6 million annual contract, it would of gotten an A grade on that site.
We're looking to the draft.
Don't expect any splashes in FA.
We think Romo is going to be Superbowl caliber for the next 5 years.
You must looking at something different....certainly not what I was referring to.
Went to ESPN FA tracker and hit Dallas Cowboys filter in left column
that 5 year window for Romo from Jerry & Stephen is slightly insulting to fans.

That is the one I am talking about. In the top right, it shows how they give their letter grades.
- A - $6+ million AAV (annual average value), 3+ years guaranteed money
- B - $2-6 million AAV, 2 years or fewer guaranteed money
- C - $2 million or less AAV, 2 years or fewer guaranteed money
- D - Minimum salary, 1 year contract
Looks like the tracker but they aren't using their own grade outlines
The one I'm looking at gives Carter a C....and we know he got more than what's listed there.
It gives Beasley a D....same applies there
that wasn't the Viking I was hoping for

They are saying that a player with an A grade should get 6M+. They are not giving them the grade based on what they actually received.
If they were using the actual contracts for grades how would they rank the players that have not signed?

Says the guy who wanted Johnny Football or almost anyone else but Romo.
