The Cowboys acquired Christine Michael from the Seahawks on Sept. 6 and are finally ready to "take the reins off him and let him rock," said running backs coach Gary Brown. Derick E. Hingle/USA TODAY Sports

IRVING, Texas -- On Wednesday, Jason Garrett announced changes at quarterback (from Brandon Weeden to Matt Cassel) and left guard (from Ronald Leary to La’el Collins). He wasn’t ready to announce any change at the running back spot.

While Joseph Randle might remain the starter, it’s clear Christine Michael will get more opportunities when the Cowboys play the New York Giants on Oct. 25.

The Cowboys acquired Michael from the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 6. He was inactive for the first three games as he learned the offense, and got one carry in each of the last two losses to the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots.

“I think he’s where he needs to be, and we want to take the reins off him and let him rock,” running backs coach Gary Brown said.

At 5-foot-10 and 221 pounds, Michael is bigger than Randle and Darren McFadden. His size can help the offensive line.

One thing for sure, the entire Cowboy Nation will be ready to tear him down if he isn't better or crown him the next cowbell if he does do well.

Oh no doubt. All about the W. I think he, along with those other major changes that we've talked st length about (Cassell, Collins), will have a major positive impact coming out of the bye.

If anyone harbors enough hatred for CM to not give him the benefit of the doubt in a lead role, I can't help them with that.

I still don't know why Rawls would choose the Seahawks over the Cowboys assuming those reports are true.

They have an established RB and the Cowboys don't.

A cashier in a liquor store by my house told me that Rawls is a poster here and after looking at your signature, he realized he would never get any credit for anything here :)

Eh. He has the talent. It is what appears to me to be a two cent head and an attitude which seems to favor and reflect style over substance that bothers me and makes me wonder whether he can ever realize the former. Also, I'm not sure why his parents named him Christine instead of Chris.

You are the one that asked why he would choose SEA over DAL

If the answer scares you, don't ask scary questions

Your answer has nothing to do with the question. You've just twisted your answer into more of your agenda to whine about Murray being gone.

Well it's obvious he didn't read your All22 review of the OL
