The only signing that hurt the team's performance due to the failure was Paea's and I think it was a good gamble that blew up.

The only signing that hurt financially was Carrol's. That was not a good signing that Lewis made look even worse.

The Moore signing? A scrap-heap player on a low contract. Not hardly a big deal.

Blanton was the same thing. Meh.

Only one guy they gave a decent contract too and that was Carrol and even his contract 4 years for $10 mil wasn't big for a corner.

Doubt the Cowboys change how they do things, i.e. use free agency to fill holes and which allows them a little more flexibility when it comes to the draft.

Carroll got $4 million for one game. That's a huge failure and miscalculation. Can't sugarcoat that. And as a result of that Miss, they will likely owe the Bengals a 6th round draft pick for Benwikere who they keep off the field at all costs.

Don't need forget Cedric Thornton. He's costing this team $6 million in dead money to play for $775,000 in Buffalo. And even his "replacement" isn't here anymore.

I guess the 40-10 SF beat down yesterday was just enough to keep the front office haters at bay for about 24 hours. Haters gonna hate.

I expected a lot of front office hate today for drafting Taco over ... wait for it ...wait for it ... TJ Watt (or insert whatever name drafted after him). I didn't expect so much vitriol over fringe, cheap FA signing cuts who, in truth , no one really misses. Some Poe-rueage (11 tackles - 7 solo, 4 assists and 0 sacks in 6 games for Atlanta). Yeah, I want to pay $8M/yr for that type of production.

Many defended the FA signings during FA season and during camp. I thought the signings were good at the time and Moore played well in preseason.

It was a poor FA class overall for all teams. But, seriously, was anyone really expecting Moore, Paea, Carroll, Blanton, etc. to carry the team? I laugh at those touting Claiborne and Carr. Miami with Moore at Qb lit up the Jets secondary. I watch redzone and didn't see the whole Jets-Mia game but I didn't see Claiborne making many plays. Carr looked all-world against Clev and Cinci to open the season. Not much since.

Ehh, it's the same 2-3 guys who moan about every move and always have a better idea and plan. Meanwhile they couldn't spell hindsight if you spotted them the hind and the sight.

Only people who have to worry about "hindsight" are the SuperFans who have their head up their *** while trying to make excuses for an embarrassingly awful offseason of decision making.

There's some "hindsight".

So you're saying the Cowboys went into the off-season saying they were going to find immediate defensive starters in the 2nd round, 3rd round, and 6th round?

Okay.
I didn't say that you did. Frankly it was pretty obvious all those FA signings were throw away players. By seasons end or sooner, the Cowboys will be a better team for the moves they made. Releasing the FA's they did won't change that in any way.

Another hard hitting cost efficient free agent signing to bolster the defense.

Yeah, I know it's more fun to beotch about everything the Cowboys do.

Carry on.

Biggest difference between you and I is that I can be critical or provide praise. I love this offense and think we can win it all with it. I think this defense is horrible and will cost us games.

You literally sign off on every move the team makes.

Also,
I'm pretty sure that's an attempt to get around the board rules on cursing. Shame, shame.

Well it sure should! This failure should be a learning experience for anyone and everyone involved and people need to see that what they're doing has some serious flaws.

If that doesn't change, neither will the results.
