A lot of criticism of this, but obviously the Cowboys aren't planning to have an unused roster spot, so there has to be someone they plan to fill it with. Maybe someone coming off IR, or someone from the practice team to help on Special teams?

They have Vander Esch, Hankins and Biadasz all scheduled to be back for the playoffs.

It allows you to call up a guy like Takk, Callaway etc for the playoffs.

I don't think LVE or Biadasz were put on IR, so Hankins may be the most likely.

Not really surprising considering 1. He was out for so long and 2. Hilton has been an immediate success so far. I wonder who replaced Washington on the 53? I'd assume a practice squad player or I could see them adding a NT to really try to clamp down on the run D.
