RELEASED Cowboys release James Washington

Yeah the guy that gets all the news first from Twitter already posted this, I wish I had a job like his

It allows you to call up a guy like Takk, Callaway etc for the playoffs.

Its amazing they waited 14-15 weeks for this guy only to release him with 1 week left in the season
Of course they didn't have TY Hilton all of those weeks. With TY now on the team, and with Brown having stepped up this season, Washington became the #5 WR on a team that had too many roster spots (7) filled by WR's. Washington was likely to be the one out of those 7 that wouldn't be around next year anyway, so he was the logical one to let go.

All I'm saying is if Hyatt or Smith-Njigba are sitting there at #32, I'm giving them a long look.

Tampa waiver claim???? OBJ signing?:omg:
Tampa? TB is stacked at WR. Did they all get hurt? Evans, Godwin, Gage, Miller, Julio Jones, Perriman. I have no idea if they are hurt as I'm not a TB fan, but who would they cut for WASH? Miller is their RS, btw. White and Fournette are both pass catching RBs, and they are stacked at TE w/ Otten and Brate.

I don't understand.

What bothers me is it took this long to figure it out

Player acquisition is a crap shoot. It’s not always about talent. For every James Washington there’s a Dante Fowler.

With 1 target in his Cowboys career, does he wait for the ROH?

I said it way back when Washington was signed during training camp that he would end up being a bust and a waste of a roster spot, especially since Washington as a veteran couldn't even make it this year on a Steelers pass-happy team in need of good receivers. Many called me out for saying such a statement. Well, where are those who called me out and said I had no idea what I was talking about? o_O

What a waste this guy has been! We could have kept DT John Ridgeway who would have at least been a contributor for our interior DTs who have been lacking all season in performance. Whomever has made these decisions has been very ignorant and costly to the team.
