Houston should have been on Cowboys PS to start season anyway.

Cowboys should have poached Malik Turner from Niners PS instead. Turner already familiar with our offense and showed high upside late last season when given reps in regular games.
Not sure how true it is but seems like they used Houston as a reality check for Tolbert to get his stuff together.

Aren't these moves kind of standard procedure? Why is that the first thing you think about? Because you know SO much about how it works and what's going on in this case?
No because he pretty much started 2 games and then you release him - That is just nuts. Somebody else should have been playing those first 2 games if he is that expendable!

I hope he serves on someone's practice squad.......otherwise he was set up to fail from the beginning.

Still boggles the mind that that they had Cooper Rush and Bret Maher on the practice squad after both cleared waivers before the1st game.

I double dog dare them to try that again.

Cowboys are going to be drafting another WR early next draft, huh?

Literally had to see him play in game action twice to determine if he was NFL material.

Someone let the front office know that's what preseason and training camp is for
Yep. Guy plays a lot in the first game of the season. Gets cut the next week.

The organization was so far off in evaluating the position it's embarrassing.

So he beat out fellow rookie Tolbert but still got cut? Either they’re confident he’ll make the practice squad or they’re choosing draft status over talent. They obviously thought he outplayed Tolbert, so then why not cut Tolbert and keep the better player?

How can you be that far off in your talent evaluation??
It’s obvious Gallup has more talent so he was a place keeper who has a shot at getting on the PS and continue to grow as a player

An NFL career isn’t about a rookie camp and two games. Tolbert has much more potential
Time will tell if he lives up to that potential but no team would cut Tolbert to keep Houston
