Cowboys rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott under investigation as woman moves forward with domestic violence

I guess some people have never heard of a mutual hookups before....

I'm 26, so it wasn't all that long ago that I went through that period in my life. Have I told women they were "clingy"? Yeah, I have. You know, after telling them time and time again I was NOT looking for a relationship.

Sex is not an invitation to impede on someone's personal life or an automatic admission you are looking for more than just intercourse. Surprised people still struggle with this, aren't we in the current year?

If my Chocolate lab could speak, I bet he would say the same thing!

your points seem to be quite uptight sexually

Be that as it may, Ezekiel Elliott finds himself in the situation he does based on the very dynamics and principles I've outlined. Your attempts to make this a "me" issue doesn't change his situation.

We may be in current year, but there are tried and true principles that transcend time.
But thank you for agreeing with me. :)

As much as I hate to see this situation drag on, here's hoping Zeke gets absolved of any wrongdoing. It's a tough thing to bear for a guy that appears to be so dedicated to being successful as a pro. I'm betting he'll come out of this thing in grand style and help his team become a winner in the end.

It's pretty common for women to not go for that situation because of stigmas related to promiscuity if you're a woman. If you set expectations beforehand and they go for it or go to a forum where the expectation is already set then great. A lot of men don't do that or worse, intentionally mislead. Expecting a sexual encounter to be nothing is just as unreasonable as expecting everything absent communication.

I don't know what happened in the leadup to this particular debacle but if you lie to a woman about your intentions to get them to have sex with you, they are going to justifiably get mad.

This all reminds me of a story about Jimmy Johnson.

In 1967, Johnson was brought on as a grad assistant at Clemson. He was hired over the phone by Frank Howard, but never met him in person.

Johnson arrived at the Clemson campus, got in a workout, and then went to the locker room to shower. While he was showering, Howard came into the shower to take one himself. Johnson thought nothing of it, and continued to wash up. Next thing he knows, he feels something on his leg. Howard actually starting peeing on Johnson's leg. He then said, "Hi, I'm Frank Howard. You must be the new GA."

Johnson stayed there about a month, before he was offered a paid assistant position under Larry Lacewell (the DC) at Wichita State.

Wow, that's a strange story.

Have you heard the latest?

Gil Brandt, who was the VP of player personnel for the Cowboys for many years, told 105.3 The Fan last night that the woman behind the Zeke DV allegations went from team to team during the NFL Draft bad mouthing Zeke to anyone who would listen.

I think this pretty much settles it.

How did she get access to all the teams during the draft?...seems like that would be hard to do..

I heard she was contacting teams just prior to draft day, trying to sling mud.

Probably wasn't all teams and I doubt it was during the draft. Of course that changes nothing as it is the act itself and not necessarily the timing that is so insidious.

Definitely changes nothing in terms of how ****** that act was, if true...but it helps make the story more believable if it's told the way you told it lol...

"She contacted some teams leading up to the draft about Elliott" makes you get angry (this is the guy's livelihood)...

"She contacted all the teams during the draft" makes you go "Wait, what?"
