Cooper just wants too much money. We're screwed.
Cooper just wants too much money. We're screwed.
Every thing points to average for Dak so far in his career , won a play off game , whoopee, big 6th or 7th alternate pro bowler (pretty sad what the pro bowl is today) Dak led nothing Cooper and Zeke led Dak just went for a ride, was pulled along, lets see if he can actually lead the team somewhere this year. I know when something goes wrong - Whaaaa- it's not Dak's fault is and will be your line because its your creed. As long as Dak has exceptional players around him that can carry him he can hold up his end of average, take them away and the excuses start flowing. Your DC fan hood accepts poor to mediocre results and a playoff game is now your lofty goal sad you low have sunk . No knock on Dak but at this point he isn't a championship caliber QB, hopefully he can become one only time will tell, you keep worshiping at his alter who knows miracles have happened.
Shouldn't and wouldn't are different words.Remember those heady days of February 2019...when many Zoners were convinced Dak wasn’t gonna get more than $20-$22mil, tops?
Guess what, honeys...
Agree. That tells you a 1st round pick to rent a player is expensive if you don’t have a long term plan in place when you pull the trigger. Why would he negotiate a extension when he could wait it out and get even more money? His team was never doing that or any smart agent. You bet on yourself every day out of the week if you feel you are worth it.
True. Cowboys were desperate and Raiders won because of it. Thankfully he’s played better than his status.Agree. That tells you a 1st round pick to rent a player is expensive if you don’t have a long term plan in place when you pull the trigger.
Truly though... the Cowboys weren't renting Coop for a year.True. Cowboys were desperate and Raiders won because of it. Thankfully he’s played better than his status.
He’s so young and going into his prime years. Pay him 17-18 like his agent wants lol you can see in his interviews he’s humble. His agent knows he has jerry. Might as well trend upward in money.Give cooper what he wants, he will be amazing and a top 5 wr for 5-6 years with no drama. In 2 years it wont look horrible.
LOLI will take that bet.
Wait... is there a bet upon this?
"only 3 years" another excuse," arent surrounded by great players and coaches" another one. you know nothing of his work ethic or maturity, duel threat has yet to be proven, at least you realize he needs great players around him to be average. Hopefully he can learn to read Defenses and hit wide open receivers on a regular basis so he can become a above average QB (which everyone would love). Jerry will pay him because he's Jerry and remember Jerry and QB and coaching decisions is the reason for the last 23 years of the Cowboys failures. As for QB play you need to take off your rose color glasses and see Dak for what he is a QB struggling to be consistent, learning to read defenses (and not doing very well after 3 years) and improving his accuracy. People expect to see improvement not the same flaws and same problems week in and out. You need professional help on your man crush of Dak so you can stop thinking with your heart and use your brain to see Dak for what he is. Jerry will most likely pay him but with 1 more year under contract and FA tag available it isn't smart, but as Jerry has boxed himself into a corner and gone all in on Dak, the most likely out come is you will be whining in 3 or 4 years about how Dak just isn't getting the help he needs, always another excuse with you. I am hoping something clicks with Dak this season and as I have said before only time will tell, but anyone who says Dak is great or above average at this point just doesn't know anything about football. Great QB's elevate the play of players around them Dak at this point needs great players around him (as you admit) to elevate his game which in my opinion makes him average at the QB position at this point, which in the NFL being a average starter isn't a bad thing but you need something more than average to win championships and Dak has not shown that yet no matter what your tells you.Nope, not at all. And especially when you figure that hes only been in the league for 3 years as a starter. IN fact, for only 3 years, if your top 15, your right on target.
You obviously dont understand QB development, expectations, or QB play in general.
Your another one of those less educated, casual fans that thinks that all QB's should be Tom Brady as soon as they enter the league.
Nothing average about his clutch abilities, dual threat capabilities, leadership, work ethic, maturity. Kid is elite already in all of those categories. Heck, when the young kid has been surrounded by quality, hes been great in everything else as well.
But you probably dont understand the importance of players around the QB either. As if guys like Mahones or Brady arent surrounded by great players and coaches.
But its not important that YOU get it. Its only important that Jones does.
Rooting to lose removes you from from fan status ****Yes. But when they suck.... I root for them to lose... that is what two decades of mediocrity will do to a fan.

that is just about the starting salary for a qb in the nfl right now. its literally a market situation. trying to pay him less would be silly at this point. We're screwed.
Cooper just wants too much money.
That surprises me but then again I guess it shouldnt. There is a big difference between change and bank rollCooper just wants too much money.
not if the player is trying to break the bank, he doesnt deserve to be the highest paid WR and if that his game you FT him one year just to get Gallup and others prepared and draft a WR or get one in FA.. they have plan to sign him but not if the players agent has now went about face now that his client exceeded expecations..it happens cant blame the FO..Agree. That tells you a 1st round pick to rent a player is expensive if you don’t have a long term plan in place when you pull the trigger.
I was actually responding to somebody else. The point we gave a first-round pick for him. So we do we make him the highest-paid wide receiver in the league. What's too much money only the franchise knowsHow much money does he want?
And FYI.......most of the time, its the agent doing all of the talking. Im sure a guy like Cooper doesnt care if he makes 16 million or 19 million.
