cowboys secondary vs. Commanders wr

Wow thats funny .... a wishful thinking comment from a Commander fan :lmao2:

They'll need to get a better FS as teams will target Davis and Pile all day long.

As long as they do that, then it comes down to containin the run and gettinga pass rush on Brunnell. If they can do that, I'll take my chances with Dallas secondary versus their WR's.

And you can bet that Parcells will try everything possible to rough up Washington's diminutive WR's throughout the entire game.

Rich................
Moss didn't catch one pass against Terence Newman last year.

I really don't see how any of those corners can cover Santana Moss one-on-one without serious help from the FS.

Please. Terrence Newman is a top 5 cornerback in the NFC and can cover anybody anywhere.

are you a skins fan?if you are then you know moss's numbers went down because of the extra coverage he faced and randle el #7 receiver huh?

Yes he's a # 7 receiver... He has 7 CAREER TDs! He's never caught more than 50 balls in a season.

Every one keep bringing up the "Santans Moss" game, have you all forgot the 35-7 game? To answer the question, there's no way the Cowboy's secondary can cover our recievers.

Moss never caught a pass against Newman last year and Newman rarely gets help from FS.

Where Moss got his receptions was against Aaron Glenn. And on all three times it was without safety help. The Skins barely threw Newman's way last season. When they did it was either incomplete or they had the one INT by Newman.

I think the second game was more or less the Clinton Portis and Chris Cooley game than anything Moss really did. He did have an unbelievable catch against Aaron Glenn.

My guess is that Parcells is going to come up with some new ways to prevent that from happening again.

Rich.........

They got better WR's than they had before. And it's a better WR corp than the one that beat us twice last year. Wake up people....

Then from your statement the deadskins can't cover the Giants WR since you guys did lose 35-0...

I guess we will see, but I know the feeling that sat in my stomach after that game and can only imagine that it was worse for Parcells, Zimmer, Bowles, Glenn, and the rest of the secondary. I think more than likely they'll be fired up this year. I'm not saying he wont catch any short outs, but they'll be watching the deep ball.

I am not as hyped on the skins recievers as some of their fans are, but I am not as down on them as some of my fellow cowboys fans are either.

I think many would feel better, not just against the skins but any team, with better FS play.

Yes, and Dallas may wind up having a better secondary (provided they get a different FS) and a better pass rush next year. They could also come up with new ways to contain their offense.

If Dallas gets a true ball-hawking free safety we'd have the best secondary in football. Hands down.

Yeah, but we got sweet revenge the second game. Anyway, there was no way we were gonna win that game on the heels of their owner dying.

Our pressure on the QB should be much better next year so they won't have to cover as long. And Randle El is way overrated. He had a good superbowl and now everyone thinks he is going to be a star. The Skins totally overpaid for this guy. I do think Lloyd is pretty good though, but i think brunell will be done very soon. The guy is too old and one good hit could put him out for the year. And Jason Campbell doesn't scare me at all.
We just need to make sure Newman is on Moss at all times next year.

Cute response. Too bad it doesn't diffuse the fact your fellow board member is merely hoping, with no facts to back it up, that your dear Cowboys won't get embarassed again next season. ;)

I think Newman can handle his own no doubt, but I'm kind of skeptical on how good Herny( even though he played good last year) and Glenn can hold their own against lloyd and El. WE definitely need a better FS to make me some what more comfortable. What ever we do it's not going to be easy stoping them and that's just being honest.

How do you "diffuse the fact" that you are only "hoping" we will get embarassed again next season?

Or is this not a two way street?
