I think the Woods hype has gotten a little out of control. Ever since we found out he was one of the 30 visits, his legend has grown rapidly to the point where people were shocked he "fell" this far when in reality, this is probably right about where he should have been picked.

great pick but why did wood slide to the sixth round when a lot of other safeties went before him. was there a injury or off the field issue. or did he not face quality teams this past season. he looks like he going to be a great steal and maybe a future starter in a couple of years if he works out.

They've been talking about him on the draft show since pick 92.

The young man played high school and college ball in my neck of the woods. His coverage skills have room for growth but you will not find a more dedicated student of the game. He will get better. How much better is up to him.

FS Byron Jones
SS Xavier Woods
LB Jaylon Smith
CB Anthony Brown
CB Chidobe Awuzie
CB Jourdan Lewis
DL Charles Tapper
DL David Irving
DL Malik Collins
DL Taco Charlton

All of a sudden Defense looks young, talented, some meanness to it and has a very high ceiling

He fell this deep into the draft because this was a strong draft for DBs and Safeties. Otherwise he would have gone a lot higher.

So is he a SS with those ball skills (14 ints) or is he a backup to BJones at FS? If he's a SS, then we have 4 competing there.

No more small school underwear olympics champ projects. We are now getting football players who can actually play football from day one.

It wasn't even just underwear Olympics. They took some guys that didn't even have athletic upside as well. It was all over the place with no actual draft strategy or approach.

Almost as bad as the Darius Jackson hype. You would think that guy was an All-American
